Abstract
本発明の課題は、パティキュレートフィルタ13に担持されている酸化触媒や、その前段に配置される酸化触媒14を活用し、排気温度の低い運転状態でNOxを効果的に低減することにある。前段に酸化触媒14を装備した触媒再生型のパティキュレートフィルタ13を排気管11途中に介装し、ディーゼルエンジン1側でのポスト噴射により燃料添加を行い、その添加燃料が酸化触媒14上で酸化反応した時の反応熱によりパティキュレートフィルタ13の強制再生を図る排気浄化装置に関し、酸化触媒14より上流側の排気管11にNOのNO2への酸化反応を促進するNO2生成触媒22を設け、該NO2生成触媒22と酸化触媒14との間で排気ガス9中に燃料を直噴する燃料添加装置23を設け、該燃料添加装置23より上流側で排気系から排気ガス9の一部を抜き出して吸気系へ再循環し得るように構成する。
