Abstract

 本発明は、Al2O3が60質量%以上70質量%以下、TiCが30質量%以上40質量%以下の範囲である焼結体からなる磁気ヘッド用基板に関する。磁気ヘッド用基板7,7′は、焼結体の切断面における任意の10μm以上の直線上に存在するTiC結晶粒子の個数の比率が、前記直線上に存在するTiC結晶粒子の個数およびAl2O3結晶粒子の個数の合計に対して55%以上75%以下である。本発明はさらに、前記磁気ヘッド用基板から得られる磁気ヘッド、および前記磁気ヘッドを備えた記録媒体駆動装置に関する。
