Abstract

　本発明は、Ａｌ２Ｏ３が６０質量％以上７０質量％以下、ＴｉＣＸＯＹＮＺ（但し、Ｘ、ＹおよびＺは、０．５≦Ｘ≦０．９９３、０．００５≦Ｙ≦０．３０、０．００２≦Ｚ≦０．２０、０．５０７≦Ｘ＋Ｙ＋Ｚ≦１である。）が３０質量％以上４０質量％以下の範囲の焼結体からなる磁気ヘッド用基板に関する。焼結体は、切断面における任意の１０μｍ以上の直線上に存在するＡｌ２Ｏ３の結晶粒子およびＴｉＣＸＯＹＮＺの結晶粒子の個数の合計に対して、前記ＴｉＣＸＯＹＮＺの結晶粒子の個数の比率が５５％以上７５％以下である。本発明はさらに、前記磁気ヘッド用基板から得られる磁気ヘッド、および前記磁気ヘッドを備えた記録媒体駆動装置に関する。
