Abstract

【課題】デザイン表現性を向上できる模様付きステアリングホイールおよびその製造方法を提供する。 【解決手段】ステアリングホイール１は、略環状に形成されたリム部４とパッド部２とリム部４の径方向内周側に設けられたスポーク部３とにわたる芯金５と、合成樹脂によって形成され、表面に模様１０が施され、芯金５のリム部４の外周側に、互いに係合するように設けられた合成樹脂製のアッパシェル８およびロアシェル９とを備える。このとき、芯金５の少なくともリム部４の全体をモールディングによって被覆して成る合成樹脂層６を有し、アッパシェル８及びロアシェル９は、リム部４の一部を成す合成樹脂層６に挟み込むようにして被覆する。
