Abstract

 寄生容量に起因した表示画像及び取り込み画像の画質の低下を抑制し得る、画像入力機能を備えた液晶表示装置を提供する。アクティブマトリクス基板(1)と、対向基板(2)と、液晶層とを備え、反転駆動が行われる液晶表示装置に、一又は二以上のアクティブ素子毎にアクティブマトリクス基板(1)に設けられた受光部と、センサ駆動部(5)とを備えさせる。受光部は、フォトダイオードと、電荷を蓄積する容量とを備え、蓄積された電荷の量に応じてレベルが変化する受光信号VSOUTを出力する。センサ駆動部(5)は、受光部に対して、極性が予め定められた一方となっており、且つ、極性の反転の終了後の、アクティブ素子に供給されている電流に変動が生じない期間に、容量の電荷をリセットさせるリセット信号と、受光部に受光信号の出力を行わせる読出信号とを出力する。
