Abstract

 画像処理装置は、明るさを表す成分と色の濃さを表す成分とによって表現される色空間の画像において、明るさを表す成分に対して、所定の明るさで傾きが変化する階調変換特性に応じて階調変換処理を施す階調変換部と、色の濃さを表す成分に対して、変調特性を乗じて変調処理を施す変調部とを備え、変調特性は、所定の明るさより明るい領域の少なくとも一部の領域で1以下の値が設定されている。
