Abstract

 アルキル芳香族炭化水素を、Co、Mn、Brからなる触媒の存在下、酸素含有ガスにより液相酸化して、粗製の芳香族ジカルボン酸を製造し、水溶液として水素化精製を行い高純度精製芳香族ジカルボン酸の製造方法において、芳香族モノカルボン酸アルデヒドが2000~3500ppm含有した水素化精製用粗製芳香族ジカルボン酸の経済的な製造および水素化精製触媒の活性寿命に影響を与えない酸化触媒調整量およびその反応条件とを提案する。 酢酸溶媒によるジアルキル芳香族炭化水素を液相酸化し芳香族ジカルボン酸の生成に際して、酸化反応にて燃焼損失する酢酸燃焼量を低減し、生成芳香族ジカルボン酸中に灰分生成を抑え、酸化触媒の組成調整を反応温度との関係用いて調製し達成した。 即ち、反応温度を185~197°Cとし、Co+Mn量およびBr/Mn比を反応温度と相関される関係式から算出の量を少なくとも各反応温度における調整量とし、Co+Mn量を2650ppm以下、Br/(Co+Mn)比を1.7以下の範囲の量での触媒調整を行う。
