Abstract

　電力の消費が抑制される電力線通信装置を提供する。ＰＬＣアダプタのＣＰＵが実行する処理は、電力の供給を遮断する時刻の到来を検知するステップ（Ｓ６１０）と、電力の供給を遮断することを通知するメッセージを生成するステップ（Ｓ６２０）と、ＰＬＣアダプタに接続されている機器に当該メッセージを送信するステップ（Ｓ６３０）と、機器から電力の供給の遮断に対する確認の信号を受信した場合に（ステップＳ６４０にてＹＥＳ）、遮断がＯＫであることが示されているとき（ステップＳ６５０にてＹＥＳ）、ＲＪ４５コネクタへの電力の供給を遮断する命令を給電回路に送出するステップ（Ｓ６８０）とを含む。
