Abstract

 本発明は、画像再生装置と画像再生方法および撮像装置とその制御方法に関する。本発明では、予め設定されている画像レートよりも高い画像レートで撮像を行うことにより生成された撮像画像の画像信号を再生する際に、予め設定された画像レートに画像信号を変換する信号処理部に再生される画像信号を供給して、この再生される画像信号の画像レートを、撮像画像の動き検出結果を用いて生成された再生制御情報に基づき制御して、検出された動きが大きくなるに従い撮像画像の再生速度を低下させて、スローモーション再生画像の画像信号を出力するものである。
