Abstract

Siを主成分とする蒸発原料を用いた蒸着によって負極活物質膜を成膜するにあたって、成膜レートを向上すること、及び、生産性に優れ、高レベルの充放電容量を保持したリチウム電池用電極を提供することを目的とする。本発明のリチウム電池用電極の製造方法は、SiとFeを、Fe/(Si+Fe)のモル比が0.0005以上0.15以下で含む蒸発原料を準備する工程と、前記蒸発原料を溶解し蒸発させて、集電体上に直接あるいは下地層を介して蒸着する工程を含む。本発明のリチウム電池用電極は、集電体と、前記集電体上に直接あるいは下地層を介して積層されたSiFeyOx(ただし、0<x<2かつ0.0001≦y/(1+y)≦0.03)からなる負極活物質膜と、を含む。
