Abstract

　パーム幹から効率よく且つ安価に得られるエタノール及び乳酸の製造方法を提供する。パーム幹から樹液を抽出し、樹液を抽出した後のパーム幹の繊維を酵素で加水分解して糖化する。ついで樹液と得られた糖化液とを微生物で発酵しエタノール又は乳酸を製造する。なお、酵素による糖化処理の前処理として、パーム幹の繊維を酸又はアルカリで加水分解を行ってもよい。また、加水分解による糖化処理と微生物による発酵は同時に行うこともできる。微生物による発酵は、パーム幹の加水分解物である糖化液と樹液とを混合して行ってもよく、または別々に行ってもよい。
