Abstract
ハニカム基材1と、ハニカム基材1の両端面11,21とで相補的な市松模様を形成するように配設された目封止部15とを備えた目封止ハニカム構造体30を製造する方法である。ハニカム基材1の第一端面11に第一のマスク用フィルム4aを貼付するとともにスラリー浸入孔3aを穿孔して目封止用スラリー6を充填し、ハニカム基材1の第二端面21に第二のマスク用フィルム4bを貼付するとともにスラリー浸入孔3bを穿孔し、セル2内に、第一のマスク用フィルム4aとハニカム基材1の間から0.05~5MPaの圧力で放出されるように空気を流入させ、セル開口端部7に目封止用スラリー6を充填して得られたスラリー充填基材20を焼成する。
