Abstract

金属酸化物に機能性有機材料が担持されてなる有機無機複合材料であって、前記機能性有機材料と前記金属酸化物とがシラノール結合により結合されてなる有機無機複合材料である。該シラノール結合が、シランカップリング剤と金属酸化物とを反応させることにより形成されている態様、該シランカップリング剤が、反応性末端を有する態様などが好ましい。該有機無機複合材料を用いたエレクトロクロミック表示素子用表示電極、又は光電変換素子用電極及び該電極を用いたエレクトロクロミック表示素子、又は光電変換素子を提供する。
