Abstract

L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne de quatre cylindres en ligne dans lequel les sorties d'échappement (8, 9) d'une paire de cylindres placés au centre sont connectés à une seule sortie d'échappement fusionnée (11) et cette sortie d'échappement fusionnée (11) est connectée par un premier tuyau d'échappement (19) à un convertisseur catalytique (18). D'autre part, des sorties d'échappement (7, 10) des paires de cylindres placés aux deux extrémités sont connectées par un deuxième tuyau d'échappement (21) à un convertisseur catalytique (18). Une longueur du premier tuyau d'échappement (19) de la sortie d'échappement fusionnée (11) au convertisseur catalytique (18) est plus courte que la longueur du deuxième tuyau d'échappement (21) des sorties d'échappement (7, 10) au convertisseur catalytique (18).
