Pour tricoter un tissu tricoté en chaîne avec une machine à tricoter en chaîne, on distribue un fil de tricotage Y pour constituer un dessin, à une pluralité de séries de trame B, le fil de tricotage sortant de chaque série de trame B est passé sur chaque peigne L disposé en association avec chaque série de trame dans une relation positionnelle complétant les portions de fil d’arcade l’une par rapport à l’autre, les peignes respectifs sont utilisés de manière identique pour tricoter un dessin et, dans le même temps, le fil de tricotage de chaque série de trame est éjecté tout en différenciant la longueur de sortie, et la taille d’une boucle d’aiguille NL et la longueur d’une boucle plongeante SL étant formées par des fils de tricotage appartenant à des séries de trame respectives sont différenciées de telle manière que la frise émerge à la surface d’un tissu.
