- FIG. 7 shows the gas bag enclosed by a casing 11 with a mounted connecting element 20, wherein the latching sections 25a, b and the rotation-securing lug 29 protrude.
- the locking lever 30 is arranged on the connecting element '20. As already mentioned, connecting element 20 and locking lever 30 together form the fastening unit.
- FIGS. 8a to 8d show a locking lever 30 in different views.
- FIGS. 8a and 8b are perspective views of two sides
- FIG. 8c is a plan view
- FIG. 8d shows the locking lever in a further plan view along the line of sight EE of FIG. 8c ,
- the fastening unit of the exemplary embodiments illustrated here is designed such that the locking lever 30 is held by the latching sections 25a, 25b and acts on the locking position during pivoting into the locking position.
- the locking lever 30 has a lever portion 30a and a Wir ⁇ kabexcellent 30b. At the effective portion 30b is a hat 34 with a circumferential contact surface 35 and two the hat 34 sections umlau ⁇ fende link slots 32a, b.
- the hat 34 has an elongated cross-section with a maximum and a minimum diameter d m j n , d max . Furthermore, the effective portion 30b has a ramp 33 which, in cooperation with the aforementioned arm 24, serves for locking the locking lever in its locking position. Before the ramp is the recess 36th
- a stop 31 is arranged on a predetermined breaking line 31a an ⁇ .
- Figure 9 is shown how the locking lever 30 is attached to the two locking portions 25a, b.
- Figure 10 shows the assembled state, wherein the locking lever 30 is in its mounting position.
- the two Rastab ⁇ sections 25a, b protrude through the slide slots 32a, b and upper portions of the first leg 26a, b are applied to the contact surface 35 of the hat 34.
- the locking lever 30 is held on the connecting element 20.
- upper sections of the first legs 26a, b bear on those sections of the contact surface 35 which have the minimum distance d min from each other.
- FIG. 11 shows how the fastening unit is plugged onto the inner structure I of a vehicle, the locking lever 30 being in its mounting position.
- FIG. 11 shows a section at the level of the slot slots 32a, b as seen from the interior of the car.
- the diameter d B of the latching portions 25a, b receiving bore B (see Figure 11a) in the vehicle interior structure is chosen so that the two Rastab ⁇ sections 25a, b are introduced with slight deformation of the two second legs 27a, b in the bore can, so that the two second legs 27a, b engage behind the bore.
- FIG. 11a which is a section through FIG. 11 along the section line FF. If, as shown in FIG.
- the assembly lever is pivoted by 90 ° into its locking position, the first legs 26a, b are pressed outwards by the contact surface 35 of the hat 34 and come into frictional contact with the wall the bore.
- the fastening unit is thus arrested (see in particular FIG. 12a).
- the locking lever 30 disappears behind the folded and enveloped airbag 10, so that the inner lining can be attached in a subsequent work step.
- the stop 31 rests against the gas bag cladding and, when the gas bag unfolds, is separated off at the predetermined breaking line 31a, so that it does not obstruct the expansion of the gas bag.
- the locking lever 30 protrudes, as beispiels ⁇ , as can be seen well in Figure 10, vertically below the airbag 10 so that it would be a mounting of the interior trim in the way. If, on the other hand, the locking lever 30 is already pivoted into its locking position before the two latching sections 25a, b are inserted into the bore, the two bar sections 25a, b are so far apart that an introduction into the corresponding bore is not possible at all. It can thus be seen that an automatic quality control is provided here, namely to the effect that the mounting of the inner lining is only possible if the gas bag module has been properly locked to the inner structure.
- FIGS. 13a to c show an exemplary embodiment of a connecting element in which the locking lever also engages in its locking position and this locking is releasable. In FIGS. 13a to 14, only the region of the connecting element which contains the latching sections 25a, b is shown; the attachment portion for fastening the gas bag is not shown.
- the connecting element 20 has a tongue 28 with a sloping surface F 5 , which is pressed by a resilient section 28a in the direction of the slot slots 32a, b.
- the locking lever 30 When the locking lever 30 is attached (FIGS. 14-16), the tongue 28 extends through the first sliding slot 32a. If now the locking lever 30 is pivoted into its locking position, the tongue 28 is pressed down by the action of force on the inclined surface Fs and jumps into the second sliding slot 32b when the locking position is reached. This is particularly evident in FIGS. 15 and 16. Due to the substantially perpendicular surface F v of the tongue 28, the locking lever 30 is secured against reverse rotation in the mounting position.
- the tongue 28 can be pushed out of the second sliding slot 32b with the aid of a tool and the locking can be canceled so that the locking lever 30 is pivoted into its mounting position and the gas bag module is dismantled can.
