背景技術
一般に、 ガスレーザ発振器は密閉された筐体内に一対の電極を有し、 前記筐体内に封入されたレーザガスをブロワによって強制的に循環して いる。 そして、 前記一対の電極によって生じる放電によって、 前記レー' ザガスを励起し、 部分反射鏡と全反射鏡によって共振され、 外部に照射 される。 そして複数のミラーを介して加工ヘッドに送られ、 加工テープ ル上のワークの加工を行う。
ところで、 このようなレーザ発振器においてレーザガスを循環させる ブロワは一種の消耗品として扱われている。 レーザ発振中に何らかの原 因でブロワが停止すると、 レーザガス循環が止まり、 筐体内の光学部品 や電極を損傷してしまう。 また、 レーザ加工に使用している場合は、 レ —ザ発振器内の光学部品や電極を損傷することにより、 レーザビームの 品質が異常になったまま加工を続けてしまい、 広範囲に加工不良を及ぼ し、 多大な影響がでてしまう。 従来のブロアのメンテナンスとしては一 般的に、 定期点検時にレーザ発振器使用時間から予測されるブロア推定 寿命によリブロワの劣化状態を判断していた。 また、 従来のブロワの異 常を知る手段としては、 例えば日本国特開平 1 一 1 0 6 4 8 7号公報に 開示されたレーザ発振器停止時に惰性回転するブロワの電流値と惰性回 転時間との関係から異常を検知する方法や、 日本国 2 0 0 3— 1 1 0 1 7 2号公報に開示されたブロアに電力を供給するインバータ部の出力電 流を所定値と比較することで異常を検知する方法が知られている。
従来の推定寿命によるブロワ劣化の判断は、 予防保全上から早期のプ ロワ交換を余儀なくしている他、 定期点検時以外には発見できないない という欠点があった。 また、 日本国特開平 1 — 1 0 6 4 8 7号公報に開 示された従来のブロアの異常検知手段では、 ブロア停止時にしか異常を 検知できず、 発振器もしくは加工機の使用中の異常停止を防止するのは 困難である。 一方、 日本国 2 0 0 3 - 1 1 0 1 7 2号公報に開示された 従来のブロアの異常検知方法では、 加工中の異常停止を防止することは 可能であるが、 一般的にブロワの電流値はブロワの劣化以外に、 筐体内 のレーザガス圧力によっても変化するので、 レーザガスの圧力変化をプ ロワの劣化と判断してしまう欠点がある。 発明の開示
本発明は、 上述のような問題点を解決するためになされたもので、 そ の目的は、 レーザガスの圧力変化にかかわらず、 発振器もしくは加工機 の使用中にブロアの劣化を検出できる装置を有したガスレーザ発振器お よびガスレーザ加工機を得るものである。
本発明に係るガスレーザ発振器およびガスレーザ加工機においては、 ブロワに駆動電力を供給するインバー夕の出力電流値を検出する電流検 出手段と、 筐体内のレーザガスの圧力を検出する圧力検出手段とを備え、 前記電流検出手段にて検出された前記インバー夕の出力電流値と前記圧 力検出手段にて検出されたレーザガス圧力値とを利用して前記ブロワの 異常を検出するものである。
本発明は上記構成により、 レーザガスの圧力変化にかかわらず、 発振 器もしくは加工機の使用中にブロアの劣化を検出することができる。 こ れにより、 レーザ発振器においては、 レーザ発振中のブロワ異常停止を 未然に防止することができ、 ブロア異常停止に伴う筐体内の光学部品や 電極が損傷することを大幅に低減できるという効果が得られる。 また、 レーザ加工機においては、 レーザ加工中のブロワ異常停止を未然に防止 することができ、 従来のブロア異常停止に伴う広範囲に及ぶ加工不良を 加工機が停止した部分のみに抑えることができるという効果が得られる。 図面の簡単な説明

実施の形態 1 .
第 1 図は、 本発明を実施するための実施の形態 1 におけるレーザ発振 器の横断面を示す概略図であり、 第 2図はレーザ発振器の縦断面とプロ ヮ異常を検出する装置と加工機本体部分を示したレーザ加工機の概要図 である。
第 1 図、 第 2図において筐体 7内には C 0 2、 N 2、 H eなどのレー ザガスが封入されている。 このレーザガスは筐体 7内に配置された複数 のブロワ 5によって矢印 6方向に強制循環されている。 そして、 一対の 電極 1 間の放電空間 2を通過した後、 高温となったレーザガスはガスダ クト 3を通り、 熱交換器 4によって冷却されるようになっている。 そし て冷却されたレーザガスは再び複数のブロワ 5によって電極 1間に還流 される。 そして、 一対の電極 1 によって生じる放電によって、 循環され たレーザガスを励起し、 部分反射鏡 2 0と全反射鏡 1 6によって共振さ れ、 外部に照射される。 そして複数のミラー 2 6を介して加工機本体 2 1 内の加工へッド 2 4に送られ、 加工テーブル 2 5上のワーク 2 3へ照 射し、 加工を行う。 レーザ発振器およびレーザ加工機は制御装置 1 4内 の発振器および加工機制御部 1 8によりその動作を制御される。
前記筐体 7内に封入されているレーザガスの圧力は機種によって異な るが、 一般的に設定値は約 5 0 T 0 r rから約 2 0 0 T 0 r rの間に設 定され、 設定値からのずれは ±'2 T 0 r r程度に収まるように保たれて いる。 また、 レーザガス交換時には 0 . 1 T o r r付近まで筐体 7内圧 力を低下させる。 筐体 7内のレーザガス圧力は、 レーザガス圧力検出手 段であるガス圧センサ 1 2によってモニタしている。 そして、 ガス圧セ ンサ 1 2の出力をレーザガス圧力比較手段である圧力比較回路 1 3によ つて、 正常レーザガス圧と比較し、 レーザガス圧が正常か異常かを判断 する。
一方、 ブロワ 5の駆動部は電力を供給するインバータ 1 0と、 ブロワ 電流検出手段である電流検出回路 9、 サーマルリレー 8によって構成さ れる。 万一、 焼付き等によってブロワ 5に大電流が流れるとサーマルリ レー 8が働き、 レーザ発振器が停止するようになっている。 更に、 電流 検出回路 9によってインバー夕 1 0の出力電流を検出し、 ブロア電流比 較手段である電流比較回路 1 1 によって正常電流値と比較し、 電流値が 正常か異常かを判断する。
ブロワ 5は前述したように 5 0〜2 0 0 T 0 r r程度という真空状態 で高速回転しているため、 蒸気圧の高い真空グリスを軸受け機構に塗布 することによって、 摩擦を軽減する方式を採用している。 しかし、 この 方式でも軸受け機構の磨耗が生じることが多い。 軸受け機構の磨耗が生 じるとブロワの回転に必要な電流値が増加することになる。
一方、 ブロワ電流の変動は前述した通り、 レーザガス圧力の変動によ る要因もある。 ここで、 ブロワ電流値とレーザガス圧力との関係を第 3 図に示す。 第 3図は、 発明者が本発明の検討に使用したレーザ発振器で の値であるが、 一般的にレーザガス圧力が増加するとブロワ電流も増加 し、 レーザガス圧が低くなるとブロワ電流も低下するという関係が成り 立つ。
そこで、 ブロワ電流が変動する要因をブロワ異常に特定するため、 以 下のような構成とした。 圧力比較回路 1 3の結果出力と、 電流比較回路 1 1の結果出力は A N D回路 1 5に送られ A N D処理が実施される。 A N D回路 1 5の結果と電流検出回路 9の出力とガス圧センサ 1 2の出力 とは、 制御装置 1 4内の比較演算部 1 7に送られ比較演算部 1 7にてブ ロア異常かどうか判断し、 異常と判断した場合、 発振器および加工機制 御部 1 8に信号を出し発振器および加工機を停止させるとともに、 警報 装置 1 9にも信号を出しオペレータへ異常を知らせる。
次に、 本実施の形態 1 におけるレーザ発振器およびレーザ加工機の動 作について、 第 3図を参照しながら第 4図のフローチャート図を用いて 説明する。 ここでは、 発明者が本発明を検討したレーザ発振器の設定ガ ス圧 5 5 ± 2 T o r 「と、 第 3図に示したレーザガス圧とブロア電流の 関係と、 第 3図より求めた上記設定ガス圧に対応する設定ブロア電流 3. 1 ± 0. 1 Aとを例に用いる。 もちろん、 設定ガス圧や設定ブロア電流 およびレーザガス圧とブロア電流の関係式は、 適用する発振器によって 適宜決定すればよく、 特に上記値に限定されるものではない。
まず、 電流検出回路 9によってブロア電流 I dを検出し検出値をプロ ァ電流比較回路 1 1 および比較演算部 1 7ベ出力する。 (ステップ S O 1 )
次に、 ガス圧センサ 1 2によって筐体 7内のレーザガス圧 P dを検出 し検出値を圧力比較回路 1 3および比較演算部 1 7へ出力する。 (ステ ップ S 0 2 )
次に、 電流比較回路 1 1 において電流比較回路 1 1 に記憶されている 設定ブロア電流 I s (3. 1 ± 0. 1 A) と上記ブロア電流値 I dとを 比較し、 電流値 I dが設定ブロア電流値 3. 1 ±0. 1 Aの範囲に入つ ていれば H i g h信号 (以下 H) を出力し、 電流値 I dが設定ブロア電 流値 3. 〗 ± 0. 1 Aの範囲に入っていなければ L 0 w信号 (以下し) を A N D回路 1 5へ出力する。 (ステップ S 0 3)
次に、 圧力比較回路 1 3において圧力比較回路 1 3に記憶されている 設定ガス圧 P s (5 5 ± 2 T o r r) と上記レーザガス圧 P dとを比較 し、 ガス圧 P dが設定ガス圧 5 5 ± 2 T 0 r rの範囲に入っていれば H i g h信号 (以下 H) を出力し、 ガス圧 P dが設定ガス圧 55 ± 2 T 0 r rの範囲に入っていなければ L o w信号 (以下し) を出力する。 (ス テツプ S 04 )
次に、 AN D回路 1 5において、 電流比較回路 1 1の出力と圧力比較 回路 1 3の出力とを AN D処理を実施し結果を比較演算部 1 7へ出力す る。 (ステップ S O 5)
ステップ S 05において A N D処理の結果が H i g h (以下 H) の場 合は、 ブロア 5は正常と判断し再びステップ S 0 1 よリブロア異常の監 視を継続する。 ステップ S 05において AN D処理の結果が L 0 w (以 下し) の場合は、 ブロアの異常の可能性が考えられるので、 以下の処理 を行う。
比較演算部 1 7において、 比較演算部 1 7に記憶されているブロア電 流値とレーザガス圧の関係 (第 3図) を用い、 ステップ S O 2で検出し たガス圧 P dに対応する理想的なブロア電流値 I cを演算する。 (ステ ップ S 0 6 )
そして、 比較演算部 1 7において、 ステップ S O 1で検出したブロア 電流値 I dが I c ± 0. 1 Aの範囲に入っていれば、 ブロア 5は正常と 判断し再びステップ S 0 1 よリブロア異常の監視を継続する。 ブロア電 流値 I dが I c ± 0. 1 Aの範囲に入っていなければ、 ブロア 5は異常 と判断し発振器および加工機制御部 1 8に停止信号を出すとともに、 警 報装置〗 9にも信号を出す。 (ステップ S 0 7)
発振器および加工機制御装置 1 8は発振器および加工機を停止させる とともに、 警報装置 1 9は才ペレ一夕に警報を発する。 (ステップ S O 8)
警報を受けたオペレータによリブロア 5の交換を行う。 (ステップ S 0 9 )
本実施の形態 1 は、 以上のような構成を備え動作を実現することで、 ブロワを駆動させるインバー夕の出力電流値とガス圧センサの出力を利 用して、 プロワ電流の変動の要因であるガス圧力の要因を取り除き、 ブ ロワの異常を確実に検出できるレーザ発振器を構成した。 これによリ、 レーザ発振中にブロワが停止し、 筐体内の光学部品や電極が損傷するこ とを大幅に低減できるという効果が得られる。 また、 本発振器を用いた レーザ加工機においては、 加工不良を最小限に抑えることができるとい う効果が得られる。
また、 通常インバー夕に電流検出機能がついており、 ブロワ電流があ る一定値よりも低下した時に、 アラームを出すようにしている。 一方、 ブロワ電流検出回路では、 インバー夕からの出力電流を検出し、 ガス圧 にあった電流値でなければアラームを出すようにしている。 このように、 ブロワ電流を二箇所で検出する事によって、 二重にインターロックをと つている。
さらには、 ブロワ電流検出回路はブロワの個数分備える必要はなく、 ブロワの個数にあった設定値を設定しておけば、 電流検出回路は 1つで よい。 実施の形態 2 .
ところで、 実施の形態 1では、 レーザガス圧の異常検出とブロアの異 常検出を別の動作にて行っていたが、 同じ動作中に行っても良い。 構成 としては、 第 5図に示したように実施の形態 1の構成図である第 2図に 対し、 圧力比較回路 1 3から発振器および加工機制御部 1 8に停止信号 を出す経路を設けたことが特徴である。 その動作を第 6図のフローチヤ 一卜図を用いて説明する。
基本的には第 4図とほぼ同じ流れであり、 異なる点はステップ S O 4 を新ステップ S 1 4に置き換え、 ステップ S 1 0とステップ S 1 1を新 規に追加した。 以下ステップ S 1 4、 S 1 0、 S 1 1の説明を行う。 ステップ S 0 3にてブロア電流の比較を行った後、 圧力比較回路 1 3 において圧力比較回路 1 3に記憶されている設定ガス圧 P s ( 5 5 ± 2 T 0 r r ) と上記レーザガス圧 P dとを比較し、 ガス圧 P dが設定ガス 圧 5 5 ± 2 T 0 r rの範囲に入っていれば H i g h信号 (以下 H ) を出 力し、 ガス圧 P dが設定ガス圧 5 5 ± 2 T 0 r rの範囲に入っていなけ れぱガス圧異常と判断し発振器および加工機制御部 1 8に停止信号を出 すとともに、 警報装置 1 9にも信号を出す。 (ステップ S 1 4 )
発振器および加工機制御部 1 8は発振器および加工機を停止させると ともに、 警報装置 1 9はオペレータに警報を発する。 (ステップ S 1 0 )
警報を受けたオペレータによりレーザガスの交換を行う。 (ステップ S 1 1 )
本実施の形態 2は、 以上のような構成を備え動作を実現することで、 実施の形態 1 と同様な効果を得ることができるとともに、 さらにブロア の異常検出の過程においてガス圧の異常も検出することができ、 ガス圧 が異常な場合も即座に発振器および加工機を停止することができ、 発振 器筐体内の光学部品や電極の損傷を大幅に低減できるとともに、 レーザ 加工中であれば、 加工不良を最小限に抑えることができるという効果を 奏する。 実施の形態 3 .
第 7図は、 本発明を実施するための実施の形態 3におけるレーザ発振 器の縦断面とプロヮ異常を検出する装置と加工機本体部分を示したレ一 ザ加工機の概要図である。
第 7図に示す通り、 実施の形態 3は、 実施の形態 1 に比較し電流比較 回路 1 1 と圧力比較回路 1 3および A N D回路 1 5を削除し、 電流検出 回路 9の検出値とガス圧センサ 1 2の検出値を比較演算部 1 7に送り、 ブロアの異常を判断する構成である。
次に、 本実施の形態 3におけるレーザ発振器およびレーザ加工機の動 作について、 第 7図を参照しながら第 8図のフローチヤ一卜図を用いて 説明する。 ここでも実施の形態 1 と同様に、 発明者が本発明を検討した レーザ発振器の設定ガス圧 5 5 ± 2 T 0 r rと、 第 3図に示したレーザ ガス圧とブロア電流の関係と、 第 3図より求めた上記設定ガス圧に対応 する設定ブロア電流 3 . 1 ± 0 . Ί Aとを例に用いる。 もちろん、 設定 ガス圧やレーザガス圧とブロア電流の関係式や設定ブロア電流は、 適用 する発振器によって適宜決定すればよく、 特に上記値に限定されるもの ではない。
まず、 電流検出回路 9によってブロア電流 I dを検出し検出値を比較 演算部 1 7へ出力する。 (ステップ S 2 1 )
次に、 ガス圧センサ 1 2によって筐体 7内のレーザガス圧 P dを検出 し検出値を比較演算部 1 7へ出力する。 (ステップ S 2 2 )
比較演算部 1 7において、 比較演算部 1 7に記憶されているブロア電 流値とレーザガス圧の関係 (第 3図) を用い、 ステップ 2で検出したガ ス圧 P dに対応する理想的なブロア電流値 I cを演算する。 (ステップ S 2 3 )
そして、 比較演算部 1 7において、 ステップ S 2 1で検出したブロア 電流値 I dが I c ± 0 . 1 Aの範囲に入っていれば、 ブロア 5は正常と 判断し再びステップ S 2 1 よリブロア異常の監視を継続する。 ブロア電 流値 I dが I c士 0 . 1 Aの範囲に入っていなければ、 ブロア 5は異常 と判断し発振器および加工機制御部 1 8に停止信号を出すとともに、 警 報装置 1 9にも信号を出す。 (ステップ S 2 4 ) 発振器および加工機制御部 1 8は発振器および加工機を停止させると ともに、 警報装置 1 9はオペレータに警報を発する。 (ステップ S 2 5 )
警報を受けたオペレータによリブロア 5の交換を行う。 (ステップ S 2 6 )
本実施の形態 3は、 以上のような構成を備え動作を実現することで、 実施の形態 1 と同様な効果を得ることができるとともに、 実施形態〗よ リも回路構成が簡単になるという利点が得られる。 実施の形態 4 .
ところで、 実施の形態 3では、 検出したブロア電流値 I dと算出した ブロア電流値 I cとを比較しブロアの異常を検出したが、 検出したガス 圧 P dと算出したガス圧 P cとを比較しブロアの異常を検出しても良い。 構成としては、 第 7図と同一である。 動作を第 9図のフローチャート図 を用いて説明する。
基本的には第 8図とほぼ同じ流れであり、 異なる点はステップ S 2 3 および S 2 4を新ステップ S 3 3および S 3 4に置き換えたものである。 以下ステップ S 3 3、 S 3 4の説明を行う。
比較演算部 1 7において、 比較演算部 1 7に記憶されているブロア電 流値とレーザガス圧の関係 (第 3図) を用い、 ステップ S 2 1で検出し たブロア電流値 I dに対応する理想的なガス圧 P cを演算する。 (ステ ップ S 3 3 )
そして、 比較演算部 1 7において、 ステップ S 2 2で検出したガス圧 P dが P c ± 2 T o r rの範囲に入っていれば、 ブロア 5は正常と判断 し再びステップ S 2 1 よリブロア異常の監視を継続する。 ガス圧 P dが P c ± 2 T 0 r rの範囲に入っていなければ、 ブロア 5は異常と判断し 発振器および加工機制御部 1 8に停止信号を出すとともに、 警報装置 1 9にも信号を出す。 (ステップ S 3 4 )
本実施の形態 4は、 以上のような構成を備え動作を実現することで、 実施の形態 1 と同様な効果を得ることができるとともに、 実施形態 1よ リも回路構成が簡単になるという利点が得られる。 産業上の利用可能性
以上のように、 この発明に係るガスレーザ発振器およびガスレーザ加 ェ機は、 特に長時間ブロアを連続運転して発振もしくは加工を行うガス レーザ発振器およびガスレーザ加工機に用いられるのに適している。

Claims

請 求 の 範 囲
1 . 密閉された筐体と、
前記筐体内に封入されたレーザガスと、
前記レーザガスに放電を発生させる一対の電極と、
前記レーザガスを前記電極間に流すブロワとを設けたガスレーザ発振器 において、
ブロヮに駆動電力を供給するインバー夕の出力電流値を検出する電流検 出手段と、
筐体内のレーザガスの圧力を検出する圧力検出手段と、
前記電流検出手段にて検出された前記インバー夕の出力電流値と前記圧 力検出手段にて検出されたレーザガス圧力値とを利用して前記ブロワの 異常を検出することを特徴とするレーザ発振器。
2 . 前記インバー夕の出力電流値と前記レーザガスの圧力値との関係 式を記憶し、 前記圧力検出手段にて検出されたレーザガス圧力値と前記 関係式から理想の出力電流値を算出し、 前記理想の出力電流値と前記電 流検出手段にて検出された実際の出力電流値とを比較し、 ブロア異常と 判断した場合にガスレーザ発振器を停止するよう制御する制御装置を備 えたことを特徴とする請求項 1 に記載のガスレーザ発振器。
3 . 前記インバー夕の出力電流値と設定出力電圧値とを比較する電流 比較手段と、
前記圧力検出手段にて検出されたレーザガス圧力値と設定ガス圧値とを 比較する圧力比較手段と、
前記電流比較手段と前記圧力比較手段とのそれぞれの結果を A N D処理 する A N D回路とを備え、
前記 A N D回路にて前記電流比較手段と前記圧力比較手段それぞれの結 果のいずれかが設定値から外れていると判断された場合、 前記制御装置 にてブロア異常を判断することを特徴とする請求の範囲 2に記載のガス レーザ発振器。
4 . 。前記インバー夕の出力電流値と前記レーザガスの圧力値との関係 式を記憶し、 前記電流検出手段にて検出された前記インバー夕の出力電 流値と前記関係式から理想のレーザガス圧力値を算出し、 前記理想のレ 一ザガス圧力値と前記圧力検出手段にて検出された実際のレーザガス圧 力値とを比較し、 ブロア異常と判断した場合にガスレーザ発振器を停止 するよう制御する制御装置を備えたことを特徴とする請求項 1 に記載の ガスレーザ発振器。
5 . 密閉ざれた筐体と、
前記筐体内に封入されたレーザガスと、
前記レーザガスに放電を発生させる一対の電極と、
前記レーザガスを前記電極間に流すブロワとを設けたガスレーザ発振器 により加工を行うガスレーザ加工機において、
前記ガスレーザ発振器は請求の範囲 1から 4のいずれかに記載のガスレ 一ザ発振器であることを特徴とするガスレーザ加工機。
