Abstract

導電性組成物、導電性塗料、導電性繊維材料、および面状発熱体 技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、導電性組成物、それを溶媒に溶解または分散させてなる導電性塗料、 導電性組成物を繊維材料に被覆してなる導電性繊維材料、および導電性繊維材料 を有してなる面状発熱体に関する。さらに詳しくは、耐加水分解性に優れ、繊維材料 への接着性に優れる導電性組成物、導電性塗料、それを繊維材料に塗布してなる 導電性繊維材料、およびその導電性繊維材料を有してなる面状発熱体に関する。 背景技術
[0002] 導電性塗料は、通常、ポリウレタンなどのベースポリマーを溶媒に溶解または分散さ せ、これにカーボンブラックなどの導電性物質をカ卩えてなるものである。このような導 電性塗料を基材表面に塗布し、溶媒を揮発させることにより、基材表面に導電層を形 成して、電磁波シールド、発熱体、静電防止塗膜、各種電気電子部品の電気的接合 などに用いている(例えば特許文献 1一 4)。
[0003] 導電性塗料は様々な形態や種類の基材に塗布して使用されるが、基材が糸などの 繊維材料やシート、フィルムなどの場合は、該塗料を塗布して導電層を形成した後に 基材が繰り返し屈曲されて変形を受けながら用いられることがある。このとき、基材の 変形により、基材力 導電層が剥離して導電性が低下したり、導電層内部に亀裂が 生じて抵抗値が変化したりする問題がある。特に前記導電層の剥離現象は、ベース ポリマーにガラス転移温度の高いものを用いると、柔軟性の不足により一層顕著にな る。そのため、基材との接着性に優れるベースポリマーが求められてきた。
[0004] そこで、本発明者らは、ベースポリマーとして熱可塑性ポリウレタンエラストマ一を使 用することにより、基材との接着性に優れ、繊維材料やフィルムなどに塗布して屈曲 させても剥離の少ない導電性組成物および導電性塗料が得られることを見出した。
[0005] ところで、前記ポリウレタンエラストマ一を用いた導電性組成物は、基材との良好な 接着性に加え、その優れた柔軟性、抵抗値制御の容易性などが評価され、特殊な環 境下での使用が要請されている。とりわけ繊維材料やフィルムに被覆して面状発熱 体として使用する場合は、水中での使用や融雪のための雪中での使用など、多水分 環境下での長期間の使用にも耐えられる導電性組成物が求められている。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0007] 本発明の目的は、前記従来技術の問題に鑑み、繊維材料やフィルムに被覆して 導電性材料とし、面状発熱体などとして水中などの多水分環境下で使用しても、長 期間の使用に耐え得る導電性組成物およびそれを用いた導電性塗料を提供するこ とにある。
[0008] 本発明の他の目的は、上記の特性を有する導電性組成物が繊維材料に被覆され てなる導電性繊維材料、および該導電性繊維材料を有してなる面状発熱体を提供 することにある。
課題を解決するための手段
[0009] 本発明者らは、前記目的を達成するために鋭意検討を行った結果、導電性組成物 の基材との接着性および耐加水分解性を改良することにより前記課題が達成できる ことを見出した。そして、さらに検討を重ねた結果、特定構造のポリエーテルポリオ一 ルゃポリカーボネートポリオールを、特定構造のイソシァネートに共重合させてなるポ リウレタンをベースポリマーに用いると、導電性組成物の基材との接着性および耐カロ 水分解性が向上することを見出した。また、この導電性組成物を直接、または溶媒に 溶解、分散して塗料として繊維材料やフィルムに被覆した導電性材料は、多水分環 境下でも長期間使用できることを見出し、これらの知見に基づいて本発明を完成する に至った。

発明の効果
[0015] 本発明の導電性組成物および導電性塗料は、繊維材料やフィルムなどの基材に 被覆または塗布して導電層を形成した場合に、基材との接着性に優れ、繰り返し屈 曲させても抵抗値の上昇ゃ基材からの剥離がほとんどなぐかつ耐加水分解性に優 れるため、特に水中や雪中などの特殊な多水分環境下で使用される面状発熱体に 用いたときの寿命を長期化させることができる。
[0016] 特に、本発明の導電性組成物中に配合する導電性材料として、鱗片状グラフアイト力 一ボンと、ジブチルフタレート(以下 DBPということがある)吸油量が 100ml/l00g未 満のカーボンブラックとを組み合わせ用いると、導電性組成物は、適度な電気抵抗値 と導電性とを有するため、面状発熱体に適用すると過不足のない適度な発熱性を示 す。

[0020] 前記ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A)の共重合成分である炭素数 8— 22の芳香族系 多官能イソシァネート(a)としては、例えば 1, 4-ベンゼンジイソシァネート(以下、 BD Iと略記すること力 Sある)、 4, 4' -ジフエニルメタンジイソシァネート(以下、 MDIと略記 することがある)、水添 BDI、水添 MDIなどを用いることができる。また、その使用量は 、ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A)に用いる全共重合成分の、 33— 53重量%、好まし くは 38 48重量%である。使用量が 33重量%未満であるか、または 53重量%を超 えると、ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A)の収率が低くなり、かつその分子量が低くなる ため、得られる導電性組成物の機械的強度が劣る。
[0021] ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A)は、前記芳香族系多官能イソシァネート(a)と共に、 炭素数 3— 6のォキシポリメチレン鎖を有する、ポリエーテルポリオール (b)を共重合 成分とする。該ポリエーテルポリオール (b)の具体例としては、 (ポリ(ォキシトリメチレ ン) )ジオール、(ポリ(ォキシテトラメチレン) )ジオール、(ポリ(ォキシへキサメチレン) )ジオールなどが挙げられる。また、その使用量は、ポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A) に用いる全共重合成分の 47— 67重量%、好ましくは 52— 62重量%である。使用量 力 ¾7重量%未満であるカ または 67重量%を超えると、生成するポリエーテル系ポリ ウレタンの収率が低くなり、かつその分子量が低くなるため、得られる導電性組成物 の機械的強度が劣る。 [0022] 本発明に用いるポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A)には、前記芳香族系多官能イソシ ァネート(a)およびポリエーテルポリオール (b)と共に、前記芳香族系多官能イソシァ ネート(a)と共重合可能な、前記ポリエーテルポリオール (b)以外のポリオール(d)を 共重合させることができる。この場合、ポリオール(d)の使用量は、ポリエーテル系ポ リウレタン (A)に用いる全共重合成分の 20重量%以下である。

Olgを平滑なガラス板上に置く。粒状の場 合は、へらで適度の圧力をかけ粒を砕く。ビュレットから必要な DBP量の約 1/2をガ ラス板上に静かに注ぎ加え、 DBPを円状に均等に広げてから前記試料を少しずつ D BPの上に移して分散させ、へらで小円形を描く操作で練る。へらに付着した試料は 、他のへらで取り除き、更に DBP約 1Z3 1Z4を加え、同一操作を繰り返して混合 物が均一になるようにする。終点に近くなつたら 1滴ずつ加えて、更に終点近くなつた ら 1/2滴ずつ加え、全体が一つの締まった塊状となった点を終点とする。この操作 は、 10 15分で終わるようにする。操作終了後 3分経過してからビュレット中の DBP 滴下量を読み、次式によってカーボンブラックの DBP吸油量を算出する。

ポリプロピレン製容器中でポリエーテル系ポリウレタン(トリメチレングリコール 42. 2 重量%およびテトラメチレングリコール 15. 3重量%とを縮重合したポリエーテルポリ オール、ならびに、炭素数 15の芳香族系多官能イソシァネートである、 4, 4' -ジフエ ニルメタンジイソシァネート(MDI) 42. 5重量%を共重合したポリエーテル系ポリウレ タン) 100重量部をテトラヒドロフラン 900重量部に溶解させた。その後、その溶液中 に、導電性物質として、鱗片状グラフアイトカーボン卜 CPB (日本黒鉛 (株)社製) 90 重量部とカーボンブラック ダイヤブラック # 5 (三菱化学 (株)社製: DBP吸油量 65m l/100g) 10重量部を加え、さらに顔料分散および混合用としてジノレコニァビーズ 1 000重量部を入れ、顔料分散機((株)東洋精機製作所製)で 2時間振とうさせた。そ の後デカンテーシヨンでジルコユアビーズを取り除き、導電性塗料を得た。

[0087] 表 2に示されるように、導電性物質として、鱗片状グラフアイトカーボンと、 DBP吸油 量が lOOml/lOOg未満のカーボンブラックとを組み合わせ用いると、導電性組成物 は、適度な電気抵抗値と導電性とを示す。特に、鱗片状グラフアイトカーボンの量と、 DBP吸油量が低いカーボンブラックの量と力 前記の望ましい範囲にあるとき(実施 例 5および実施例 6)、電気抵抗値と導電性とのバランスが最もよい。鱗片状グラファ イトカーボンに DBP吸油量が大きいカーボンブラックを組み合わせ用いた場合(実施 例 7)および鱗片状グラフアイトカーボンの量が過大である場合 (比較例 3)は、電気抵 抗値が低い。鱗片状グラフアイトカーボンの使用量が少ない場合 (実施例 8)および、 鱗片状グラフアイトカーボンのみを用いる場合(実施例 9)は電気抵抗値が大きい。 産業上の利用可能性
[0088] 本発明の導電性組成物を繊維材料に被覆してなる導電性繊維材料は、導電性組 成物被覆層が剥離し難ぐかつ耐加水分解性に優れるため水分の多レ、場所での使 用において劣化され難ぐそのため寿命が長くなり、面状発熱体などの発熱体の発 熱素子として使用するのに有用である。
[0089] 本発明の面状発熱体は、特に、水分の多い環境下での使用寿命が長いという特長 を有し、例えば、土中などに埋設して使用される育苗用土壌加熱体、融雪'融氷用道 路加熱体などに有用であることは勿論である力 一般の用途である電気布団、床暖 房、壁暖房などの用途においても、より長寿命化が期待される。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 炭素数 8— 22の芳香族系多官能イソシァネート (a) 33 53重量%、および炭素数 3 一 6のォキシポリメチレン繰り返し単位を有する、ポリエーテルポリオール(b) 47 67 重量%を共重合してなるポリエーテル系ポリウレタン (A) 100重量部、または前記イソ シァネート(a) 13 33重量%、および炭素数 5— 9のォキシカルボニルォキシポリメ チレン繰り返し単位を有する、ポリカーボネートポリオール(c) 67 87重量%を共重 合してなるポリカーボネート系ポリウレタン(B) 100重量部、並びに導電性物質(C) 7 0— 180重量部を含有してなる導電性組成物。
[2] 導電性物質 (C)が、鱗片状グラフアイトカーボン (D) 70— 150重量部およびジブチ ルフタレート吸油量が 100ml/100g未満のカーボンブラック(E) l— 30重量部から なる請求項 1に記載の導電性組成物。
[3] 導電性物質 (C)が、鱗片状グラフアイトカーボン (D) 75— 140重量部およびジブチ ルフタレート吸油量が 100ml/100g未満のカーボンブラック(E) 3— 20重量部から なる請求項 1に記載の導電性組成物。
[4] 導電性物質 (C)が、鱗片状グラフアイトカーボン (D) 80— 120重量部およびジブチ ルフタレート吸油量が 100ml/l00g未満のカーボンブラック(E) 5 15重量部から なる請求項 1に記載の導電性組成物。
[5] 請求項 1一 4のいずれ力 4項に記載の導電性組成物 170 280重量部を、溶媒 (F) 500— 1500重量部に溶解または分散させてなる導電性塗料。
[6] 溶媒 )の量が 700 1300重量部である請求項 5に記載の導電性塗料。
[7] 溶媒 )の量が 800 1200重量部である請求項 5に記載の導電性塗料。
[8] 請求項 1一 4のいずれか 1項に記載の導電性組成物が、繊維材料に被覆されてなる 導電性繊維材料。
[9] 請求項 5— 7のいずれか 1項に記載の導電性塗料を繊維材料に塗布することを特徴 とする、導電性繊維材料の製造方法。
[10] 請求項 8に記載の導電性繊維材料を有してなる面状発熱体。
