Abstract

クランクシャフトが一対のベアリングを介してクランクケースに回転自在に支承され、動弁装置のカムシャフトにクランクシャフトの回転動力を伝達するための巻き掛け駆動輪と、オイルポンプにクランクシャフトの回転動力を伝達するための駆動ギヤとがクランクシャフトに固設される４サイクル単気筒エンジンにおいて、両ベアリング（４７，４８）の一方（４８）の外側に駆動ギヤ（１２７）が配置され、該駆動ギヤ（１２７）のさらに外側に巻き掛け駆動輪（７８）が配置される。これによりクランクシャフトの軸線に沿う方向でのエンジンの幅を小さくすることができる。

(補正後） シリンダボア （43) に摺動自在に嵌合されるピストン （44) にコンロ ッド （45) およぴクランクピン （46) を介して連結されるクランクシャフト （37) 、 該クランクシャフト （37) の軸方向に間隔をあけて配置される一対のベアリング (47, 48) を介してクランクケース (39) に回転自在に支承され、 動弁装置 (6 7) のカムシャフト （68) に前記クランクシャフト （37) の回転動力を伝奢するため の巻き掛け駆動輪 （78, 248) と、 前記クランクケース (39) に配設されるオイル ポンプ （123) に前記クランクシャフト （37) の回転動力を伝達するための,駆動ギヤ (127) とが前記クランクシャフト （37) に固設される 4サイクノレ単気筒エンジンに おいて、 前記両ベアリング （47， 48) の一方 （48) の外側に前記駆動ギヤ （12 7) が配置され、 該駆動ギヤ （127) のさらに外側に該駆動ギヤ （127) と一体に成 形された嫌己卷き掛け駆動輪 (78, 248) が配置されることを特徴とする 4サイクル 単気筒エンジン。
2. 請求項 1記載の 4サイクノレ単気筒エンジンにおいて、 Ιίίϊ己クランクケース （39) に 配設されるオイルポンプ (123) から吐出されるオイルをシリンダブ口ック (40) 側 に導く給油路 （137) が前記クランクケース （39) に設けられ、 ffltSクランクピン (46) および前記ピストン （44) 側に向けてオイルを噴出するオイル噴出孔 （143: 143' ) 前記給油路 （137) の途中に直接通じて前記クランクケース （39) に 設けられることを特徴とする 4サイクル単気筒エンジン。
3. 請求項 2記載の 4サイクル単気筒エンジンにおレ、て、 前記オイル噴出孔 （143, 1
43' ) Ιίίΐ己クランクシャフト （37) の上方で育 ill己クランクケース （39) に設け られることを糊敷とする 4サイクル単気筒エンジン。
4. 請求項 2または 3記載の 4サイクル単気筒エンジンにおいて、 前記クランクケース (39) は一対のケース半体 (39 L, 39 R) を相互に結合して構成され、 両ケース半 体 （39 L， 39R) の少なくとも一方 (39R) に、 Sift己給油路 （137) の一部とな る油路 （139) を前記両ケース半体 (39L, 39R) の結合面 （134) 間に形成す る油路溝 (142) が設けられ、 前記オイル噴出孔 （143) 力 前記油路溝 (142) に通じて両ケース半体 (39L, 39R) の結合面 （134) 間に形成されることを樹敷 とする 4サイクル単気筒エンジン。
