Definitions
- the invention relates to a mattress or pillow made of foam and / or latex or from a corresponding material according to the preamble of the claim. It affects all seating or reclining furniture, mattresses or pillows.
- Latex or foam mattresses are well known. In order to increase the comfort of these mattresses, mattresses have been brought onto the market which have different designs and / or shapes on their surface.
- the core of the mattress from a single piece and to arrange recesses in the surface of the mattress at certain points, into which materials with different strength values are inserted than the foam core of the mattress has.
- a mattress with an integrated support pad which consists of a base material, in the surface of which at least two separate support pads are arranged, which extend into the material of the lying surface of the mattress with a continuously curved contour curve and are continuous Ensure transitions in the material of the mattress towards the surface of the mattress.
- the support pads are made of a softer material than the material of the mattress and are arranged in the shoulder area and in the pelvic area of a person lying on the mattress. These support pads ensure a more even pressure distribution in the shoulder and pelvic area and a softer sinking in of the body parts in these areas.
- a disadvantage is that the inserted support pads have to be manufactured separately and connected to the foam core of the mattress. For this purpose, it is necessary to glue the two foam molds together or to connect them in a different way so that they are not loosely assembled.
- this adhesive must be designed or made of materials that can be safely used for gluing and that do not outgas afterwards, as this would otherwise result in health disadvantages for people lying on the mattress ,
- Another disadvantage of this embodiment is that the inserted support pads z. T. are not 100% connected to the foam core, so that they can slip over time, which affects the comfort of the person lying on it.
- Another disadvantage is that the different materials of the mattress core and the support pads go through different aging processes, whereby either the support pad or the foam core of the mattress loses its support force faster than the second material used. It is usually the support pad that loses spring or support force earlier and thus negatively affects the comfort of the mattress.
- the present invention is based on the object of developing a mattress or pillow of the type mentioned above in such a way that it avoids as many of the disadvantages indicated above as possible.
- the main feature of the present invention is that a foam and / or latex mattress or a mattress made of a suitable material or a pillow is designed so that the so-called comfort areas, i.e. the areas of the mattress which correspond to the different zones such as head and shoulders - and pelvic area are assigned, are arranged inside the mattress.
- these areas are formed as recesses in the mattress, i. H. corresponding recesses are formed in the mattress or in its core for the areas mentioned.
- cutouts have approximately the opposite or mirrored contour of the body part which lies on the mattress at this point.
- BESTATIGUNGSKOPIE This means that the recesses in the core of the mattress or in the pillow are designed in such a way that they begin at the point where the body penetrates the deepest into the mattress, starting from the center outwards.
- the mattress is made with the lowest material thickness at this point. This version can be described in this way for easier understanding. If the mattress is halved parallel to the lying surface so that it forms two equal halves, and a corresponding person lies on this inverted mattress, which fits exactly into the corresponding recesses with its head, shoulder and pelvic areas.
- the contours correspond to the body contours of the person lying thereon, but are arranged in the arrangement within the mattress and thus mirror-symmetrically to the person lying thereon.
- the contours are approximately teardrop-shaped in cross section.
- the mattress with such ventilation holes or holes throughout and optionally in the areas in which the body tends to sweat to form a higher number of such ventilation holes per surface than in the other areas, the diameter of these ventilation holes also depending of the individual zones can vary.
- a further embodiment of the present invention provides that the transversely arranged cutouts in the individual comfort areas within the mattress for the head, shoulder and pelvis are closed at their lateral ends, so that the mattress is closed to the outside on its lateral surfaces.
- this relining can either take place during the manufacture of the mattress or, depending on the material properties of the mattress, can also be introduced into the corresponding opening at a later point in time in order to remedy the declining support properties of the mattress.
- the embodiment of these support bodies can now be such that they fit over the entire surface into the cavity, so that they have contact with the recess over their entire envelope surface. In special embodiments, however, they can also be designed such that they have the basic contour of the cutout, but that they have in their
- this support body can now also be designed in a wavy embodiment, such as this represents the surface of an embodiment of the mattress core, for example.
- the surface of the support body can also have a smooth surface and, in return, the surface of the recess can have such a wave shape.
- These support bodies also have ventilation holes, which optionally also correspond to the ventilation holes in the mattress.
- the support bodies can therefore either be in contact with the surface of the recess or can be at a distance from the recess.
- the mattress is designed such that it can be turned and not only such recesses are arranged on one half of the mattress, but also such recesses are arranged on the second half in the corresponding areas or zones.
- the mattress is designed as a so-called growing mattress. This means that the mattress is designed on one side so that it is designed for a person with a body length L, so that the three zones are arranged at the appropriate locations in order to achieve the orthopedic effect of this mattress for this body size L.
- the second half of this mattress ie the underside of the mattress, is now designed for a body length L + X.
- the distance X can, for example, be made larger than L for a body size of 10 to 15 cm - or even more.
- the recesses corresponding to the body size L move away from the position. It can be provided, for example, that the area of the shoulder is used as the starting point for the displacement of the other two recesses for the person with the larger body size.
- the cutout for the shoulder and also the two other cutouts are, however, already made larger than is intended for the person with the smaller body size, since the body shape is also larger.
- the head area and the pelvic area are therefore formed further away from the shoulder area, and in addition it is taken into account that, as with the shoulder area, the person has a larger body dimension L + X than the smaller person with the size L, which is why the recesses are designed to be correspondingly larger ,
- This embodiment can be designed both as a one-piece mattress and as a two-piece.
- the mattress is cut in half parallel to the lying surface or that the two halves are manufactured in such a way that they can be joined together.
- the assembly can take place, for example, by means of an interlocking knob fastening or other constructive measures.
- the mattress is only partially cut lengthways.
- the slicing takes place, for example, starting from the head area through the first comfort zone, further through the area that lies between the first and the second comfort zone to the second comfort area, again through this and the subsequent area, and ends at the rear end of the third comfort area.
- This results in a hinged mattress which can be arranged with studded connections between the resulting upper and lower parts for the purpose of glue-free connection.
- the individual areas of the comfort zones can be opened by means of their own access incisions. These access incisions facilitate the insertion or removal of support bodies which can be placed or replaced in these areas as needed or at will to change the support function.
- a solid support body can be inserted that partially or completely fills the comfort area. If you want the cushioning to be as soft as possible, the cavity can remain completely free, which means that the support properties of the contoured comfort zones come into full effect. In between, all possible steam properties are conceivable by inserting different support bodies, which is made significantly easier by means of these access incisions.
- the surface of the mattress is provided with the same waveforms throughout.
- Waveforms act as a kind of locking mechanism.
- This locking mechanism is used, for example, to protect the upper part with the lower part against relative mutual displacement in a divided mattress.
- both the upper part of the mattress and the lower part of the mattress on both lying surface areas are equipped with corresponding contours.
- the upper part with the lower part is designed to be immovable relative to one another by means of the interlocking waveforms. Due to the fact that both the upper part of the mattress and the lower part of the mattress have such waveforms on both sides, they can also be exchanged for one another, and then still offer the advantage of not being displaceable or sliding against one another.
- This effect can not only be achieved by means of waveforms, but of course also by means of a square profile, triangular profile, beveled profiles and the like. It is only important that the contours to be joined fit together to a certain extent, and thus slip or prevent moving the two mattress parts against each other. This applies both in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction of the mattress. This means that a two-part mattress can be put together as required. Once the upper part on the lower part, and another time under the lower part. This is e.g. B. useful with different hardnesses of the two mattress halves and appropriately trained recesses. Of course, it is also possible to design a mattress in three or more parts in order to achieve any gradations in the hardness of the mattress. However, this is not dealt with in detail here.
- the support bodies arranged in the recesses have contours that correspond to the recesses in the mattress.
- these recesses are designed accordingly on the basis of the body shapes immersed in the mattress.
- the fact that the body has areas that plunge deeper into the mattress and others that plunge less deeply into the mattress means that there is often a need, especially for people who are tied to the bed, to support those parts of the body that are not as strong Immerse in the mattress to relieve an area that plunges deep into the mattress, such as a sore area (back, buttocks, legs, feet).
- the supported area with the recess can be made softer by removing the support body.
- the head area can be additionally relieved by inserting the support body removed from the recess for the head in the neck area. Relief can be created in the head area if there is pressure sensitivity. The same applies, of course, to edged legs, sore ankles or heels and the like.
- This support of the neighboring area can take place in different intensities or in different, targeted ways.
- the most direct and punctual support is provided.
- This can be further dampened by inserting the support body under the lower part of the mattress. It is important, however, that the appropriately designed surface engages with the surface of the mattress so that the support body cannot slip, regardless of where the support body is arranged.
- a further possibility of this support is given by the fact that the support body is left in the recess of the mattress and an additional support body, which originally did not belong to the mattress, is placed on, in or under the mattress.
- an additional support body which originally did not belong to the mattress, is placed on, in or under the mattress.
- differently shaped support bodies can also be used, which also have the surface formation of the mattress.
- the arrangement of several support bodies on one level and also in different levels and combinations of these arrangements are possible.
- one or two additional supports can be provided between the two mattress parts and / or under the two mattress parts. The arrangement option is possible in all variants.

- Figure 8 another embodiment of the mattress divided and with a corrugated surface.
- Figure 9 another embodiment of the illustration of Figure 8 and additional support bodies.
- FIG. 1 now shows a mattress 1 with recesses 2, 3, 4, in this case shown as a split embodiment with two halves in the shape of the upper part 5 and the lower part 6.
- a body 8 of a person lies on this mattress.
- a knob attachment 7 is shown, for example, for fixing the upper part 5 on the lower part 6.
- the two halves, the upper part 5 and the lower part 6, can be connected to one another if necessary. It is essential in this embodiment that the cutouts 2, 3, 4 reflect the negative contours of the body 8 lying on the mattress 1 symmetrically.
- This contouring is also provided for the pelvic region 4. These contours ensure that the body can sink significantly deeper into the mattress at these points, so that the body is continuously supported by the mattress when lying down.
- the corresponding contouring which corresponds to the body shape in mirrored symmetry, ensures that there are continuous transitions between the areas of the mattress provided with no cutouts and the areas with cutouts 2 to 4.
- This measure achieves an orthopedically favorable rest position for the person 8 lying on the mattress 1.
- FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of a mattress according to the present invention which is modified compared to FIG. 1. It also shows a mattress 1 with an upper part 5 and a lower part 6 in which recesses 2 to 4 are in turn arranged.
- the cutouts correspond to the cutouts according to the embodiment in FIG. 1.
- the connection of the upper part 5 to the lower part 6 is again provided here by means of a knob connection.
- the surface of the mattress is different from embodiment 1.
- the surface of this embodiment according to FIG. 2 is so designed to have transverse waves. These waves in the surface, which run transversely to the long side, can have shapes of different strengths.
- the mattress can be used on one side or the other, depending on requirements or needs.
- cutouts 2 to 4 are likewise arranged in the mattress 1 and are designed in accordance with the designs already described above.
- a body 8 is indicated lying on the mattress. However, this does not lie completely on the mattress, but essentially only shows that the contours of the recesses 2 to 4 correspond to the contours of the body (head, shoulder, hip).
- This embodiment can also be designed with or without a wavy surface.
- FIG. 3a shows that the mattress 1 is only partially cut lengthways.
- the cut 14 takes place, for example, starting from the head area through the first comfort zone 2, further through the area between the first and second comfort zone 3 to the second comfort area 3, and again through this and the subsequent third comfort area 4, and ends at the rear end of the third comfort area 4.
- a hinged mattress 1 which is optionally formed with knob connections 7 between the resulting upper and lower parts 5, 6 for the purpose of their adhesive-free connection.
- the mattress 1 is thus designed as a hinged, one-piece design with partial division - upper part 5 and lower part 6-. So is one Easy accessibility of the comfort areas 2, 3, 4 is ensured, which enables simple insertion and / or replacement of support bodies 11, 12.
- FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of a so-called growing mattress 1.
- this mattress 1 it is provided that the upper part 5 and the lower part 6 are designed differently.
- the different training here concerns the interior comfort areas, which are realized with the recesses 2 to 4.
- Embodiment shown as it is intended for a person with a size L.
- this could be a child.
- the distances between the individual comfort areas for head, shoulder and hip area are so far apart that they correspond to the ergonomic dimensions of a child.
- the second half that is to say the lower part 6, is designed in such a way that it corresponds to the ergonomic dimensions of a larger person. This takes into account both the situation that the body itself is larger and therefore the zones are further apart, and the contour of the recesses is correspondingly larger and deeper.
- the amount X stands for example for an amount of 10 cm, 15 cm or 20 cm, depending on how large the distance in the size of the person concerned is chosen, which is larger than the child with the size L.
- a corresponding, so-called growing mattress can be bought, whereby the child can use the same mattress over a longer period of time. With this mattress the comfort achieved through the recesses in the comfort areas can be used for a long time.
- this embodiment has ventilation holes 9 which continuously ventilate at least the upper part 5 or lower part 6.
- the ventilation channels are formed continuously between upper part 5 and lower part 6. These vents 9 are more pronounced in the areas in which the body tends to sweat more. So z. B. in the comfort areas 2 to 4, a stronger ventilation is provided.
- a support body 11 is arranged in the comfort area for the shoulder, that is to say in the area in the recess 3. This support body 11 can also have a ventilation 9.
- FIG. 4a shows in a further embodiment that the individual areas of the comfort zones 2, 3, 4 can be opened or closed by means of their own access incisions 13.
- These access incisions 13 facilitate the insertion or removal of support bodies 11, 12 which can be placed or replaced in these areas as needed or at will to change the support function. If low damping is desired, a fixed support body 11, 12 can be inserted which partially or completely fills the comfort area. If the cushioning is as soft as possible, the cavity can remain completely free, which means that the support properties of the contoured comfort zones 2, 3, 4 are fully effective. In between, all possible steam properties are conceivable by inserting different support bodies 11, 12, which means this access incisions 13 is significantly facilitated.
- the access incisions 13 have nub connections 7 for the adhesive-free connection to the rest of the mattress 1, so that support bodies 11, 12 can be easily inserted and / or replaced if necessary.
- FIG. 5 shows the top view of a mattress according to the embodiment in FIG. 4.
- the cutouts 2 to 4 and their contour edges are drawn in accordingly.
- the support body 11 is not shown.
- the lateral openings in the mattress are closed. That is, So the recesses 2 to 4 are not completely continuous, but are closed at their outer ends with the side terminations 10. Moreover, the cutouts 2, 3, 4 do not need to extend over the entire width of the mattress. You can also occupy only half or% of the width of the mattress centered on the central longitudinal axis of the mattress. In the event that the recesses 2, 3, 4 are filled with a foreign material, the filling can also be designed differently across the width of the recess. For example, the filling in the middle area can be softer than in the adjoining edge area. Or the filling can be completely missing in the middle area and only the edge areas can be filled with foreign material.
- FIG. 6 shows a detail of one of the comfort areas with the recesses 2 to 4 in the mattress 1 with a support body 12 arranged therein.
- a ventilation 9 is shown in the mattress 1.
- the support body 12 has no ventilation 9 in this case.
- the support body 9 has a smooth surface and the surface of the cavity 2 to 4 has a transverse, undulating configuration.
- FIG. 7 shows an embodiment which is contrary to the representation in FIG. 6.
- the recess 2 to 4 has a smooth surface and the support body 11 has a surface provided with transverse, wave-shaped configurations.
- the support bodies 11, 12 are designed in such a way that they fit exactly into the recesses 2 to 4 and fill them, as well as an embodiment in which the support bodies are smaller than the recesses 2 to 4 are formed.
- the damping effect of comfort zone 2 to 4 can thus be set to different degrees.
- the ventilation can also be influenced by providing the support bodies 11, 12 with vents 9 or without them.
- the spherical configurations of the recesses 2 to 4 essentially correspond to the mirrored body shape of the person 8 lying on the mattress 1.
- the comfort areas are thus designed analogously to the body contour of the body 8 of the person 8 lying on the mattress 1.
- the support bodies 11 and 12 can also be connected to the mattress 1 by means of a knob connection 7.
- an optimal areal pressure distribution is achieved for the person 8 lying on the mattress 1.
- the damping effect is designed such that a gradual transition of the damping takes place when the person 8 sinks into the mattress 1 when the person 8 presses the mattress 1 so far into the comfort areas that the upper half 5 touches the lower half 6 or abuts an inserted support body 11, 12 and is additionally supported by the latter.
- the contour of the recess in the lower half 6 of the mattress 1 is accordingly not mirror-symmetrical upwards but - in the embodiment as a reversible mattress - is identical to the body shape of the person 8 lying on the mattress 1, which is automatically derived from the identical (mirrored) shape of the two parts upper part 5 and lower part 6 results.
- the invention also includes recesses 2, 3, 4 which merge into one another without only narrow cut-outs 14 connecting these recesses 2, 3, 4.
- Either the cutouts 14 are created with a greater height or the cutouts 2, 3, 4 merge into one another.
- the support bodies 11, 12 fitted into the cutouts 2, 3, 4 consist of inflatable cushions, the advantage of this measure is that in the shoulder and pelvic region in particular for
- An optimally supportive therapy mattress can be created from a standard mattress in just a few steps.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 show a further embodiment of the present invention.
- This is an embodiment with a wavy surface 17 of the mattress 1.
- This waveform is designed such that, for example, the underside of the upper part 5 fits exactly with the upper side of the lower part 6 when they are put together, regardless of which one of the two mattress parts 5, 6 is below or above.
- the upper part 5 of the mattress 1 has no recesses.
- Only the lower part 6 of the mattress 1 has cutouts 2-4 and 15 for the leg area and 16 for the foot area.
- the leg area can also be divided into two parts, so that there is even greater flexibility in use.
- the present invention is not limited to this; corresponding cutouts 2-4 and 15, 16 can also be formed in the upper part 5.
- FIG. 8 shows five cutouts 2-4 and 15, 16 into which support bodies 18 can be inserted. These support bodies 18 can be removed from the respective recesses as required and, if necessary, in an upside-down orientation to the top of the mattress additional, selective support.
- the undulating surface 17 causes the support body 18 to be anchored to the undulating surface 17 of the mattress 1. This connection is ensured both with the undulating surface 17 of the upper part 5 and with the undulating surface 17 of the lower part, on each of its lying sides, inside and outside.
- This support body 18 can be the support body 18 from the mattress 1 itself, but it can also be an additional support body 19.
- This additional support body 19 can optionally have the same shape as a support body 18 in the mattress 1, but it can also have any other shape. It is important, however, that it has a corresponding undulating surface 17 which is suitable for anchoring with the undulating surface 17 of one of the two mattress parts 5, 6 in order to take advantage of the safe positioning by the undulating surface 17.
- two support bodies 18, 19 can also be arranged one above the other.
- the advantage of latching the support bodies is realized by the undulating surfaces 17. This overlay is also possible in every level of the mattress 1.
- the present invention relates to a foam or latex mattress or a mattress or a pillow made of a corresponding material with comfort zones formed therein.
- the technical teaching of the present invention is that the in comfort zones formed in the mattress are realized by means of recesses formed on the inside of the mattress.
- the mattress can optionally be made from an upper part and a lower part as a two-part design.
- the contours of the recesses are mirror-symmetrical to the body shapes of the body lying on the mattress and are optionally reinforced with removable support bodies to vary the hardness.
- the surfaces of the mattress parts are, for example, wave-shaped and thus cannot slip against one another, and the support bodies can also be fixed in this way.
