Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for cleaning surfaces with a sponge-like base body and at least one additional layer connected to the base body, the additional layer being designed as a synthetic fiber fleece layer and wherein at least one pocket-shaped receptacle for a solid, soluble cleaning agent is formed in the sponge-like base body.
- cleaning sponges consist of a sponge-like base and an additional layer connected to the sponge-like base made of a material with a very rough surface.
- cleaning sponges are not suitable for cleaning uneven and / or structured surfaces that are sensitive to scratching, since they can easily scratch the surface to be cleaned and thus permanently damage them. This can be partially remedied by using a liquid cleaning agent that is applied to the additional layer. In practice, however, it is difficult for the user to apply the detergent in the correct amount.
- cleaning sponges can also be used, which consist only of a sponge-like body. With such cleaning sponges, however, inadequate cleaning of, in particular, uneven and / or structured surfaces is only possible.
- Devices for cleaning surfaces are also known in the form of cleaning pads for mops or the like, but with which it is also not satisfactorily possible to thoroughly clean uneven or structured surfaces, such as, for example, floor surfaces with tiled surfaces with a rough surface (safety tiles).
- a generic device is known from DE 21 21 388 A1.
- Such a device has a sponge-like base body with a pocket-shaped receptacle for a solid, soluble cleaning agent and an additional layer made of a nylon fiber fleece. This device has a good water-carrying capacity due to its spongy body.
- the cleaning agent contained in the receptacle can therefore dissolve in a well-dosed manner and can be dispensed with during the cleaning process, whereby heavily soiled surfaces can also be cleaned abrasively by the nonwoven layer.
- sensitive surfaces can scratch the surface, which can damage it. It has furthermore been found that points which are difficult to access, for example depressions in structured surfaces, cannot be cleaned in such a device.
- the synthetic fiber fleece layer has open fiber ends which point in a bristle-like and structured manner in one direction.
- the synthetic fiber fleece layer Due to this design of the synthetic fiber fleece layer, it has been found that, in connection with the sponge-like base body and the cleaning agent contained therein, even difficult-to-access depressions in structured surfaces, such as safety tiles in the sanitary area, can be achieved and cleaned without scratching, which is also possible with conventional bristles, for example with a nylon fleece according to DE 21 21 388 A1 is not possible.
- the cleaning performance of the device according to the invention is such that it achieves that of abrasive cleaning agents, but without a Scratching and damage to the surface to be cleaned occurs.
- the cleaning agent is portioned into the pocket-shaped receptacle of the device, for example in the form of a small tablet, without a covering, which, in conjunction with the nonwoven layer, enables an extraordinarily good cleaning result to be achieved, since the amount of cleaning agent required in each case without the Danger of dosing errors is given.
- the cleaning agent is then preferably an extrudate, which depends on the cleaning conditions, the amount of water used, the water temperature, the acting mechanics, etc. about solubility, chemical compositions and shape.
- the fiber ends of the synthetic fiber fleece layer point in a direction transverse, that is perpendicular, to the surface. If desired, a different orientation can also be implemented.
- the synthetic fiber fleece layer is a microfiber; it preferably consists of polyester and / or polyamide.
- the synthetic fiber fleece layer is preferably laminated onto the sponge-like base body, which makes the manufacture of the device particularly simple.
- a device according to the invention is preferably designed in the form of a cleaning sponge or a cleaning pad for a mop. In principle, however, other applications are also possible.
- FIG. 1 shows a device according to the invention in the form of a cleaning sponge
- Fig. 1a shows a detail of the device of FIG. 1 and in
- Fig. 2 shows an inventive device in the form of a cleaning pad for a mop.
- a device according to the invention for cleaning surfaces in the form of a cleaning sponge is generally designated 1 in FIG. 1.
- This cleaning sponge 1 initially has a sponge-like base body 2, onto which an artificial fiber fleece layer 3 is laminated on at least one side.
- This from a microfiber, e.g. Synthetic fiber fleece layer 3 formed from polyamide or polyester has open fiber ends 4 on the outer surface which point like bristles and are structured in one direction, as best shown in FIG. 1a. This direction, which is arranged perpendicular to the surface here, is illustrated by an arrow 4a.
- two pocket-shaped receptacles 5 are formed in the sponge-like base body 2, which are used to hold a solid, soluble detergent, for example in the form of a detergent tablet 6.
- the cleaning sponge 1 is first moistened to a sufficient extent so that the sponge-like base body 2 can absorb a certain amount of water.
- the user inputs a detergent tablet 6 into the pocket-shaped receptacle 5 of the cleaning sponge 3 with his hand 7, whereupon the detergent tablet 6 continuously dissolves over a certain period of time, depending on the product properties, so that when the cleaning sponge 1 is used, water with dissolved Detergent is dispensed.
- the cleaning sponge 1 is gripped so that the surface to be cleaned is acted upon by the synthetic fiber fleece layer 3, specifically with the open fiber ends 4. This means that even hard-to-reach areas, such as those with rough surface tiles, are easily accessible and thoroughly cleaned without scratches.
- the spongy base body 2 can have a different design than the one shown. For example, it can have handling troughs on the side.
- the device according to the invention is implemented in the form of a cleaning pad 8.
- This cleaning pad 8 consists of a sponge-like base body 9, on the underside of which a synthetic fiber fleece layer 10 with outside open fiber ends 11 is laminated.
- pocket-shaped receptacles 12 for a detergent tablet 13 can also be provided in the sponge-like base body 9.
- the open fiber ends 11 are also structured and aligned in a bristle-like manner in a common direction 11a (cf. fiber ends 4 in FIG. 1a).
- the sponge-like base body 9 is connected in a manner known per se to an adhesive layer 14, which for releasable connection to an appropriately designed, adhesive underside of a fastening plate 14 of a pad holder 15 serves.
- One or more detergent tablets 13 are preferably inserted into the pocket-shaped receptacles 12 before cleaning begins.
- the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown. Further configurations of the device according to the invention are possible without leaving the basic idea.
- the device according to the invention can also be implemented in another form, for example in the form of a cleaning brush, i.e. a cleaning sponge with an additional handle.
