Abstract

Bei dem System zur Verwaltung einer grossen Anzahl wiederverwendbarer Mehrwegverpackungen, von denen jede durch einen Code in identifizierbarer Weise markiert ist, werden die Mehrwegverpackungen in mehreren von einander getrennten lokalen Stationen (20, 21, 22) in einer Anzahl von Umläufen verwendet und wird bei jedem Umlauf der Code gelesen. In einer Zentralstation (10) werden Daten, die in den lokalen Stationen (20, 21, 22) für die einzelne Mehrwegverpackung erfasst wurden, in Zuordnung zu dem gelesenen Code gespeichert und zur Ermittlung der Anzahl der Umläufe jeder Mehrwegverpackung ausgewertet. Anhand der in der Zentralstation (10) gespeicherten Daten kann das Alter und die Anzahl der Verwendungen jeder Mehrwegverpackung ermittelt werden und kann bei Erreichen eines bestimmten Alters oder einer bestimmten Anzahl von Umläufen den lokalen Stationen (20, 21, 22) signalisiert werden, dass die betreffende Mehrwegverpackung nicht mehr verwendet werden soll.
