Definitions
- the present invention relates to a modular wall, which can serve as a room divider and / or as a functional wall.
- Modular walls have the advantage over fixed, non-modular walls that they can easily meet the respective circumstances or wishes with regard to room layout and arrangement of the functional elements, e.g. Trays that can be customized.
- the functional elements e.g. Trays that can be customized.
- With walls and, in particular, modular walls there is often the problem that sockets are required which have to be wired. In order to avoid long exposed cables, the sockets should also be located where they are needed. It is clear that with fixed, non-modular walls, moving sockets is only possible with great effort. In the case of modular walls, in turn, the attachment of sockets is usually already problematic since the sockets can usually not be cabled inside the wall.
- a modular wall is to be created, which enables the desired division of space and arrangement of the functional elements, including sockets and connections for telephone or EDP cables, as well as cable routing within the wall.
- a modular wall comprises at least two support frames, at least one rail running from one of the support frames to another of the support frames, at least one cover element attached to the or at least one of the rails and at least one foot.
- support frames as a scaffold for the wall, there is free space inside the wall for the passage of cables of all kinds, so that on the one hand sockets can be arranged practically anywhere and external cables can be partly laid into the wall.
- the wall according to the invention can also be assembled, disassembled and converted in a simple manner.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a first exemplary embodiment of a modular wall according to the invention

- FIG. 11 shows a third exemplary embodiment of a modularly constructed wall according to the invention with two wall parts standing perpendicular to one another;
- Fig. 12 - a fourth embodiment of a modular wall according to the invention with four wall parts.
- the modular wall according to the invention shown comprises three rows of support frames arranged one above the other, on which four rails 2 are attached on the front side and four rails on the rear side.
- the cover elements 3 which form the actual wall surfaces are suspended between the rails 2.
- Lateral cover elements 70 are attached directly to the support frame.
- the two outermost support frames are each screwed onto a front foot 5 and a rear foot 4.
- a tray 9 is suspended on the second uppermost rail 2 by means of two anchoring clips, which are not visible here, but are explained further below in connection with FIG. 8.
- Two fastening ropes 91 one end of which is fastened to one of the two side shelf edges, are suspended in the uppermost rail 2 by means of anchoring clips 92 and thus hold the shelf 9 horizontally.
- the anchoring clips 92 are explained in more detail below in connection with FIG. 7.
- a cable connection device 8 for example for connecting power supply, telephone or EDP cables, is suspended, the necessary cabling for the cable connection device 8 being located inside the wall.
- the support frames 1 used are constructed symmetrically and comprise two vertical support parts 11 and two spacer parts 12 connecting the two support parts 11, which lie in a common plane.
- the two support parts 11 each have a central web 111 on their mutually facing sides for fastening a lateral cover element 70. If a side cover element 70 is attached, it engages behind the two central webs 111.
- Two bores 121 each run through the spacer parts 12 and, depending on the application, can be provided with a thread.
- the holes 121 are used for the passage of screws for screwing the support frame 1.
- two retaining cams 122 are arranged per hole 121 for blocking hexagon nuts.
- only two support frames 1 are arranged one above the other and screwed to one another along the dash-dotted lines 13, two rails 2 being clamped between the two support frames 1 and a space 50 being left out.
- the lower support frame 1 is along the dash-dotted lines 14 with the two feet 4, 5 and the upper support frame 1 is screwed along the dash-dotted lines 15 to a fastening element 6, two further rails 2 being clamped in between each and spaces 51 and 52 being left out.
- An upper cover element 7 is fastened to the two uppermost rails 2 and to the fastening element 6, while a cover element 3 is suspended in each case between an uppermost and a second uppermost rail 2.
- the rails 2 can be held purely by the clamping action, but it is also possible to have one or more locking recesses or one or more locking cams in the rails 2 and complementary to this in the support frame 1, the feet 4, 5 and the fastening element 6 one or more Arrange locking cams or one or more recesses.
- FIG. 5 It can be seen here that the rails 2 are designed as a longitudinal profile with a generally U-shaped cross section, the end parts 221, 231 of the legs 22, 23 of the longitudinal profiles being angled outwards and on the inside of one leg 22 of the Longitudinal profile an undercut 21 is arranged.
- the fastening element 6 and the spacer 12 are screwed together by means of screws 150.
- the upper cover element 7, which closes the wall at the top, is fastened to the two rails 2 in that two bendable angle parts 71, 72 of the upper cover element 7 each engage behind one leg 23 of the two rails 2. Two further bendable angle parts 73, 74 of the upper cover element 7 each engage behind a part of the fastening element 6.
- it To unhook the cover element 3, it must be raised until the angle piece 31 - to the left in FIG. 6 - is pulled out of engagement with the end part 221 can. After unhooking the angle piece 31, the angle piece 32 can then be unhooked simply by pulling it downward. The procedure is exactly the opposite when attaching.
- the anchoring clip 92 comprises a shoulder 921 which engages behind the undercut 21 of the leg 22 of the rail 2, in which the anchoring clip 92 is arranged, and a pressure spring 922 which ensures that the shoulder 921 is pressed behind the undercut 21 and is thus firmly anchored .
- An axis 923 is provided on the anchoring clip 92 for fastening the fastening cable 91.
- the anchoring clips 93 for anchoring the shelf 9 in a rail 2 are constructed similarly to the anchoring clips 92 for anchoring the fastening cables 91 in a rail 2 and include an undercut of the undercut 21 of the leg 22 of the rail 2 in which the anchoring clip 93 is arranged Paragraph 931 and a pressure spring 932, which ensures that the paragraph 931 is pressed behind the undercut 21 and is thus firmly anchored.
- the anchoring clip 93 against the spring pressure of the pressure spring 932 By lifting the anchoring clip 93 against the spring pressure of the pressure spring 932, the anchoring can be released in a simple manner by hand.
- the anchoring clips 93 are fastened to the shelf 9 by means of a hinge plate 934 which can be rotated about an axis 933, which is let into the shelf 9 and by means of e.g. two screws 935 is screwed to it.
- the tray 9 can thus be opened.
- the modularly constructed wall according to the invention shown in FIG. 11 comprises two wall parts 200 and 300 which are perpendicular to one another and which are formed by Corner connecting parts 80 according to FIG. 9 are connected to one another.
- a corner connecting part 80 has a base plate 81, from which two fastening parts 82 and 83 with heads 821 and 831, respectively, extend outwards at right angles to one another.
- the fastening parts 82 and 83 come for example between two support frames 1, between a support frame 1 and the two feet 4, 5 or between a support frame 1 and the fastening element 6 in the spaces 50, 51 or 52 (see Fig. 4), except for the heads 821, 831, which engage behind the support frames 1, feet 4, 5 or the fastening element 6 and thus ensure secure fastening.
- the modular wall according to the invention shown in FIG. 12 comprises four wall parts 200, 300, 400 and 500 which are connected to one another by means of cross-connection parts 60 according to FIG. 10.
- a cross connection part 60 has a base plate 61, from which four fastening parts 62-65 with heads 621, 631, 641 and 651 extend outwards at right angles to one another.
- the fastening parts 62-65 come, for example, between two support frames 1, between a support frame 1 and the two feet 4, 5 or between a support frame 1 and the fastening element 6 in the spaces 50, 51 or 52 to lie (see Fig. 4), except for the heads 621, 631, 641 and 651, which engage behind the support frame 1, feet 4, 5 or the fastening element 6 and thus ensure secure fastening.
