Definitions

  • the invention relates to a coupling piece for connecting two containers stacked on top of one another via their corner fittings having elongated holes, in particular for use in the area of adjacent corner stacks of container stacks adjacent to the central joint, the coupling piece being used for locking insertion into the elongated holes or corner fittings of the containers in Coupling projections projecting in opposite directions to one another, one of these coupling projections being assigned a blocking stop which can be introduced into the elongated hole of the same corner fitting.

It is therefore particularly advantageous to double secure the stacked upper container with the aid of the coupling piece and additionally with a lashing rod.
  • Locking is carried out by first disabling the blocking stop and inserting the dome protrusion with its side wings into the elongated hole only in the longitudinal orientation of the elongated hole and then turning it 90 ° into a transverse and locking position after insertion. The blocking stop is then brought back into operation. A return rotation of the upper coupling projection to unlock is then not in this position of the blocking stop more possible, so that a secure fixation of the container on the coupling piece or the coupling piece on the container is guaranteed.
