Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Gaseinlaß für eine Ionenquelle. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, den Gaseinlaß für eine Ionenquelle so auszugestalten, daß der Expansionsort des Gasstrahls direkt in die Ionenquelle eines Massenspektrometers geführt werden kann. Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe durch eine Kapillare (1) für die Zufuhr von Probengas, ein diese Kapillare umgebendes Führungsrohr für Trägergas, wobei die Kapillare in das Führungsrohr mündet, und das Führungsrohr mit seinem offenen Ende in der Ionenquelle endet, ein pulsbares Ventil zur Zufuhr von Trägergas in das Führungsrohr und ein Gehäuse zur gasdichten Halterung für die Kapillare, das Führungsrohr und das Ventil, wobei das Führungsrohr aus dem Gehäuse herausragt.
