Abstract

L'invention concerne la production d'aciers inoxydables au large éventail d'applications pour des tôles, des bandes, des tuyaux, des barres etc. Un domaine d'utilisation préféré est la production d'aciers à béton lisses ou striés et aussi soudables, c'est-à-dire d'aciers à armature inoxydables destinés à la construction en béton armé. L'invention vise à produire des aciers de construction inoxydables et soudables qui, d'une part, appartiennent à la classe martensitique ou ferritique-martensitique et peuvent être produits par un procédé simple sans recuit ni formage à froid et qui, d'autre part, possèdent des caractéristiques de matériaux au moins équivalentes. Selon l'invention, les propriétés conformes à l'usage prévu des aciers de construction inoxydables, comme la résistance et la ténacité, la soudabilité et la résistance à la corrosion, sont obtenues par traitement thermomécanique à partir de la chaleur de laminage et non par recuit suivi d'un formage à froid. Lors du refroidissement des aciers inoxydables martensitiques ou ferritiques-martensitiques directement à partir de la chaleur de laminage, on s'est aperçu que l'on obtient des propriétés aussi bonnes, voire meilleures que celles obtenues après traitement thermique suivi d'un formage à froid. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de supprimer le recuit et le formage à froid et de produire à faible coût un acier de construction ou de béton inoxydable.
