Abstract

Procédé et disposistif permettant d'effectuer la synchronisation de symbole (trame) de données numériques dans un canal de multiplexage par répartition en fréquence orthogonale (OFDM) tel qu'une liaison radioélectrique OFDM/MF. Le procédé et le dispositif sont adaptés à l'utilisation dans un environnement ALOHA pur étant donné que la synchronisation s'effectue sur une base trame par trame. Le temps système requis pour la largeur de bande est inférieur à 10 %. La performance de taux d'erreur de bit qu'on peut obtenir avec cette technique est de l'ordre de 1,5 dB de la performance assurant la synchronisation idéale. Le procédé et le dispositif utilisent un processus de synchronisation à trois étages. Premièrement le début d'une trame OFDM est détecté. Deuxièmement la synchronisation grossière s'effectue en échantillonnant le signal reçu, puis en mesurant la corrélation entre le signal reçu et un signal de référence. La synchronisation grossière assure la synchronisation dans plus ou moins 1/2 période d'échantillon. La corrélation est préférablement effectuée dans le domaine de fréquence après avoir fait subir aux données de signal échantillonné une transformation rapide de Fourier. Troisièmement la synchronisation s'effectue en calculant le décalage de temps entre le point de synchronisation grossière et le point de synchronisation réel et en utilisant le décalage de temps calculé pour déterminer la correction de phase à appliquer à chaque sous-porteuse acheminant des données. Pour terminer les données transmises sont récupérées en décodant les informations obtenues relatives à la phase et l'amplitude des sous-porteuses acheminant des données.
