Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Regenerieren von alkalihaltigen Aluminiumbeizlösungen vorgestellt, wobei Aluminiumhydroxid zurückgewonnen wird. Eine Beizlösung enthaltend Alkalihydroxid, Aluminat sowie einen Komplexbildner und weitere Additive wird aus einem Beizbad in eine Reaktorstrecke überführt, die aus mindestens einem Reaktor besteht und dort Aluminium als Aluminiumhydroxid ausgefällt. Das Beizbad befindet sich auf einer höheren Temperatur als die Reaktorstrecke. Das Verfahren wird so betrieben, daß die Konzentration an Aluminat, Alkali und Gluconat sowie die Temperatur im Beizbad einerseits und das Temperaturgefälle vom Beizbad zur Reaktorstrecke andererseits so eingestellt wird, daß die Beizlösung im Beizbad bezüglich der Ausfällung von Aluminiumhydroxid untersättigt oder metastabil übersättigt, in der Reaktionsstrecke jedoch instabil übersättigt ist. Weiter wird eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens offenbart.
