Abstract

Cau stic soda contg. aluminate ions is continuously removed from the etch bath at 60 degrees C cooled to 30 degrees C to ppte out Al(OH)3 and recycled to the bath. Process prevents the Al(OH)3 from depositing in the bath and clogging the operation. The NaOH soln. is then enriched and circulated around the output soln. to cool it, while gaining heat prior to reentering the etch bath.
