Abstract
Titanium slab is produced in three stages carried out in one process by heating titanium hydride in a mould under vacuum at between 700 and 1000 degrees and subsequently cooling it. From the moment that heating is started until the ready titanium has cooled to at least 500 degrees C, mechanical pressure of at least 30kg/cm2 is continuously applied to the titanium hydride or the titanium.
