Abstract

On fabrique des éléments structuraux et des composants de meubles en plaçant des lattes (13, 14, 15) parallèles entre elles sur un panneau enduit de colle, puis en remplissant les espaces compris entre les lattes d'éléments nids d'abeille (16), de préférence en carton ou en matière plastique mousse. Un deuxième panneau enduit de colle est ensuite placé sur les lattes et sur les éléments nids d'abeille ou la matière plastique mousse, puis cette unité est collée ensemble par l'application de pression. On scie ensuite l'unité dans le sens transversal des lattes (13, 14, 15) et on fait tourner les pièces allongées (20) qui en résultent de 90° autour de leur axe longitudinal, puis on les place sur un troisième panneau enduit de colle (18) et on les recouvre d'un quatrième panneau enduit de colle (19), ces deux panneaux (18, 19) étant soumis à une pression et collés ensemble. On scie (en 22) ensuite l'unité qui en résulte dans le sens longitudinal des pièces allongées (20) entre elles, de façon à obtenir des corps qui sont recouverts de tous les côtés par le matériau des panneaux et qui à l'intérieur sont remplis du matériau des lattes et du matériau (16') des éléments nids d'abeille ou du plastique mousse. De tels corps conviennent bien pour être utilisés, par exemple, comme pieds de table. Ces panneaux peuvent être constitués par du carton, par des panneaux d'aggloméré, par du contre-plaqué, par du stratifié, par des feuilles métalliques, etc, et les lattes peuvent être fabriquées en bois ou en aggloméré.
