Abstract
La celulosa se oxida catalíticamente usando un radical nitroxilo heterocíclico como catalizador, un oxidante principal que actúa como fuente de oxígeno y un activador del radical nitroxilo heterocíclico. La oxidación se lleva a cabo en un medio de reacción con la pulpa de celulosa a consistencia media, la cual es superior al 6%, más preferentemente mayor o igual que 8% y óptimamente se encuentra en el intervalo de 8-12%. El medio de reacción se mezcla en un reactor haciendo circular el medio de reacción hacia afuera del reactor y de regreso a este.
