Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para producir 3-metilciclopentadecan-1,5-diona de la Fórmula (I), que comprende la oxidación de 14-metilbiciclo[10.3.0]pentadecen[1(12)] de la Fórmula (II) con un agente oxidante, en donde la oxidación se lleva a cabo usando una mezcla de ácido fórmico con H2O2 como único agente oxidante en presencia de agua y en donde la cantidad de H2O2 es al menos 1,1 mol de H2O2 por mol del compuesto de la Fórmula (II). (ver Fórmulas).
