Abstract

Método para la fabricación de un miembro de carrocería vehicular que tienen una porción de montaje de absorción de impacto construida y dispuesta para ser montada en un componente estructural dentro de un vehículo automotriz. Dicho método comprende la hidroformación de una pieza madre tubular dentro de una matriz de hidroformación mediante el suministro de fluido presurizado hacia el interior hueco de la pieza madre; un miembro formador por estiramiento es movido hacia adentro con respecto a la cavidad de la matriz de hidroformación mientras que se suministra fluido presurizado de forma tal que el miembro formador por estiramiento deforma na porción de la pared tubular hacia adentro para formar una porción rebajada que tiene una porción de pared lateral anular y una porción de pared de fondo. La pieza madre tubular formada es luego removida desde la matriz de hidroformación y una estructura de montaje es dispuesta dentro de la porción rebajada y la pieza madre y la estructura de montaje son luego dispuestas dentro de una matrizde modelo por inyección. El material fundido de absorción de impactos es inyectado dentro de la porción rebajada de manera tal que el material fundido rodea la estructura de montaje, y es luego solidificado. También se incluye un miembro de carrocería o estructura vehicular a ser unida a un componente estructural en relación de absorción de impactos.
