Abstract

Un cuerpo de rodillo de molino perforado sin inserto, adaptado para ponerse encamisado separablemente sobre una flecha de rodillo para moler un material que contiene fluido, tal como caña de azúcar, y extraer fluido, tal como jugo de sacarosa a partir del mismo. El cuerpo del rodillo de molino perforado sin inserto, incluye una pluralidad de cordones de canales de fluido en forma de broqueta, para alojarse en el cuerpo del rodillo, y cada cordón de canal de fluido incluye un canal de fluido hueco de preferencia definido por un miembro de pared de canal que se extiende generalmente entre los dos extremos axiales del cuerpo de rodillo, con una pluralidad de miembros de pasaje de fluido fijados al mismo. El cuerpo de rodillo se forma colando un material colable, tal como hierro o acero fundido, para encerrar a los cordones de canales de fluido, sobre lo cual, se proporciona un agujero central hueco para recibir a la flecha a través del mismo. Cada miembro de pasaje de fluido contiene cuando menos un pasaje de fluido que se extiende de una manera generalmente radial, para permitir la comunicación entre la periferia externa del cuerpo del rodillo de molino y el canal de fluido. Los pasajes de fluido se cuelan inherentemente en el cuerpo del rodillo, sin la necesidad de usar insertos externamente aplicados, y los miembros de pasaje de fluido se pueden asegurar fijamente adentro del cuerpo de rodillo mediante una fuerza de retención desarrollada durante el proceso de colado, sin ningún elemento externo, eliminando de esta manera los problemas de las caídas de insertos experimentados en los rodillos de molino perforados de la técnica anterior, mientras que se conservan y se mejoran todas las ventajas de los mismos.
