DESIGN FOR A HEATING-STOVE.

Specification forming part of Design No. 6,704, dated June 17, 1873; application tiled May 17, 1873.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I,JOI1N V. B. CARTER, of Detroit, in the county of \Vayne and State of Michigan, have invented a Design for a Stove, of which the following is a specification:

The nature of in 3 design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is hereby made.

A represents the base of my stove, provided with the ash-door and draft-register. circular in form and ornamented as shown. Surniounting the base is a fluted fire-pot, B. O is a combustion-chamber, of sheet metal, mounted on the fire-pot, with a wide opening extending from top to bottom, nearly closed with the double doors D D. The borders of the doors are plain bevel-edge moldings studded with simulated bolt-heads. E is the cap of the stove, its rim being a melding of the same style as that of the base-ring, and from its center rises an urn of the form shown.

The main door-panel is ornamented with a shield of the design shown; the upper door exhibits the name of the stove, while the general design of the stove is to produce a massive but chaste effect, devoid of superfluous ornamentation.

What I claim as my invention is-- A design for a stove, substantially as herein described and shown.
