To all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, ADOLPH M. HOLSTEIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Gorner-Piece for Coffins and Caskets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
In the drawing, Figures 1, 2 and 3 are, respectively, side and front elevations and top plan view of my design for a corner piece for coffins and caskets.
This design for a corner piece for cofiins comprises embossed angularly arranged faces, the embossing comprising a central longitudinally-arranged figure and embossed figures at the sides of the corner piece extending from the background upon the sides of the central figure.
The central figure consists of a. partly spherical protuberance 1 located at the base of the corner piece and covering in a widthwise direction, the greater part of said base, an elongated ovoid protuberance 2 rising from the part 1 with its upper end of greater size and located near the top of the corner Specification for Design.

piece; the surfaces of the protuberances 1 and 2 merging together in a depressed concave surface 3.
A knob like protuberance 4 is located above the part 2 and is connected thereto by a depressed surface 5.
The embossed figures at the sides of the corner piece are formed with concave ridges 6 generally concentric with the protuberance 1, ridges 7 above the-parts 6 and flaring outwardly in concave lines at their lower ends and flaring outwardly toward their upper ends in convex lines, and ridges 8 above the parts 7 and disposed in concave lines flaring downwardly and upwardly.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a corner piece for coffins and caskets, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto signed my name in the presence of two attesting witnesses, at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, and State of New York, this 5th day of September, 1914.
