DESIGN FOR A CORNER-PIECE FOR COFFINS AND GASKETS.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AooLPn M. HOLSTEIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented a new,
. original, and ornamental Design for a Corner-Piece for Coffins and Caskets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
In the drawing, Figures 1, 2 and 3 are, respectively, side and front elevations and top plan View of my design for a corner piece for coffins and caskets.
This design of corner piece for coffins has the appearance of a shortened pillar with a base 1 of enlarged width, and with a covering 2 on the top having a tongue-like extension 3 hanging down along the central line of the pillar. The upper portion of the pillar is of rounding cross-section and the lower. portion thereof is formed with angularly arranged faces extending upwardly from the lower end of the pillar and merging into the outer surface thereof at a point between its ends. The angular faces are formed rounding in cross-section and are each provided at its lower portion with upper and- lower rounding protuberances 4, 5, in line with the like protuberances on the other angular faces, so that said protuberances are arranged in two rows, one above the other.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a corner piece for coffins and caskets, substantially as shown and described.
