To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, STEPHAN Elon, ot" Emst Toledo, in the county of' Lucas, and State oi' Ohio, have invented o new and original .Design for Door-Knob; and I do hereby declare that the following is n l'ull, clenr, nud exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to nnLke l(nld use the sinne, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming port of this specilicotion.

rl`his invention relates to n new :nid ornamental design for the form ot' door-knobs.

Instead of forming these knobs, :is heretofore done, with circular enlargements at the parts where they :n'e taken hold of by the hands for turning them, l propose to make them considerably longer one wzry than the other-that is to soy, with clon g longitudixnd exis, and short transverse exis, nud with sides representing two curves opposed to each other, one at convex curve, A, and the other EL concave curve, B 5 and these curves,

The corners of the front ilcc E nrc suitably curved, to present thc most ornznnentzil nppeau'aun'e, :1nd to i21- cilitzitc holding the knobs in the hand.

These knobs, I propose to secure to the spindles in the usual wary; or the rods ot' the spindles nniy he cnlzuged, ns :it F, and provided with nxizil screw-holes, into which screws, iitied to the knobs, or screwed through them, muy be screwed, for connecting' theln.
