TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONOERN:
Be it known that I, GEORGE l. OWEN, of Winsted, in the county of Litchfield, and State of Connecticut, have invented u new and original Design for Clock-Case; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification. y
This invention relates to n new and original design for aclock-casc front, of that class generally termed Gothic.
In the accompanying sheet of drawings- Figure 1 is n. front view of a clock-case constructed according to my design.
Figure 2, a horizontal section of the same, taken in the line :v x, tig. 1.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A represents the hase of the clock-case, which is of quudrilaternl form, und has`its upper edge, at the front and the ends, rounded in semicircula-r form, as shown nt a. i y i The front of the body of the case, :it euch side, has a pilaster, b, of convex form in its horizontal section.
These pilnsters are at or formed on the fronts of the sides c of the case, as shown in fig. 2, and the top of -the ease, which has a double pitch, or is of Gothic form, is rounded or made convex, as shownat d d, so as to correspond with b b, a piller, e, `with conical tips, eX, being on the top of each -pilastcr.
B is the door of the cloci-casc, the top ot' which is of Gothic form, to correspond with the top of the case.
Between the door B :ind thc convex surfaces I) d cl, and the top of the buse, A, there is a gilt moulding, f, the inner part of which, I, is concave, and thc other part, 2, a plane surface, as shown clearly in iig. 2.
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 'lhe configuration of thc several parts, combined and arranged :1s shown and described, to form a new and original design for a clock-case.
