DESIGN FOR THE ORNAMENTATION 0E A HORSE-BRUSH.
TO ALL WHOM 1T MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that we, JAMES A. BRADLEY and FOSTER N. SMITH, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and improved Design for the ornamentation of a Horse-Brush; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying, drawings, forming part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 represents a. plan or top view of our improved horsebrusli.
Figure 2 is an end view of the same.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
This invention relates to the ornamentation of a horse-brush, hack and handle, and is fully shown in iig. 1.
The back, A, which is of oval or other shape, has a raised moulding, a, arranged around the 1ow-relet` ligure, b, of a horse, while the words Bonner's Dexter are printed or otherwise formed upon the back, as shown in g. 1.
The face of the handle B is ornamented, as shown. Two figures, c and d, are arranged around a central oval projection, e, on the handle. Of the two figures c d, one is composed of a series of projecting curves, and the other of a series of re-entrant curves, and both are interlocked in the manner shown. V
The ends of the handles are ornamented with foliage, f, and curved lines, g, as shown.
The ornament-s are either printed on the handle or are brought out in relief on the same, as shown.
Having described our invention, we lclaim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for the ornamentation of horse-brushes, as herein shown and described.
