ewes-saam CHARLES B. BRISTOL, OF NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICIIT.
l Lette/rs Patent No. 83,757, dated November 3, 1868.
IMPROV'ED CURRY-COIVIB;
The Schedule referred'to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom yit may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES B. BRISTOL, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven, and State of Connecticut, have inventeda new Improvement in Curry-Combs; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this speciiicaf tion, and represent, iii-'- Figure l, a perspective view ofthe comb complete ;V
which turn down, and cut so as to form fine teeth upon the said two edges, as in the common curry-comb.
In order to the clear understanding of my invention, I will fully describe the saine as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
A is the handle, B, the shank, which is formed upon a bar, G, as seen ing. 3, the said bar provided with comb-teeth, a, more or less in number, all cast together in one and the same piece. And to the said bar I attach a wroughtemetal plate, D, by means of rivets through the bar, as at d, ng. l.
Thev two edges, E, of the plate D are turned down, and cut into line teeth, as denoted in iig. 1.
This completes the construction, and I have produced a curry-comb, at very little expense, equally durable, and practically as good as thelarger and more expensive combs.
Having fully described my invention, Y
What I claim as new and useful, and desire to secure by Letters Patent. is-
As an article of manufacture, a curry-comb, in which the. bar C, teeth @and shank B, are formed in one and the same piece, and united to the plate D, the whole constructed substantially `in the manner herein set forth.
