To enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains, to make and use the same, I will now describe its construction and operation.
In the accompanying drawings- A represents the standard or main bar 0f the cultivator-frame, to whichV are attached the handles B B.
On the front end of the standard, is secured the metal plate a, made as seen in iig. 1, and to each end of which is hinged the front end of the cultivator-arms b b.
d represents a metal slotted plate, made 'as seen Zin iig. 1, and secured to the rear end of arm d represents a similar slotted plate, secured to the rear end of arm b.
It will be seen that the two plates dd overlap each other, and that the slotted part passes o ver the adjustable screw e, secured to the standard A.
D represents a metal plate, made as seenin iig. 2, its lower end secured to the standard A, and the upper to the handles of the cultivator. V
This plate is furnished with aslot, e', in its centre, and in this slot is inserted the clampscrew f.
Over the screw f is passed one end of the bars g g, the other ends of the said bars being passed over the metal pieces h h, secured respectvely to the arms b b.
The vcultivator-teeth are not shown in the drawing, they being no part of my invention.
vHaving thus described my invention,
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- A The slotted metal plate D, constructed as described, in combination with the clampscrew f, and bars g g, arranged to operate substantially in the manner and for the purpose specified In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own, I aftix my signature, in presence of two witnesses.
