DESIGN FOR A PAPER COLLAR.
Speeication forming part of Design No. 2,256, dated January 30, i866.
To aZZ whom. it may concern:
Be it k nown that I, WILLIM S. BELL, Jr., of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new Design for a. Paper Collar, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification, in which- Figure l is a perspective view of my paper collar. Fig. 2 is a section on the line a: of Fig. 1.
My invention consists in embossingr the outer fold of a paper collar with a design which shall represent a hem, thus giving a neatnnd unique appearance to the collar.
To enable others skilled in the art to understand and use my invention, I will proceed to describe the manner in which I have carried it out.
In the said drawings, A represents the outer fold of a paper collar, which is embossed or stamped, as seen at a., so as to leave a raised portion, b, around the edge of the collar,which represents a hem, and thus gives the collar a. neat and finished appearance.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design representing a hem embossed on a paper collar, substantially as shown and described.
