DESIGN FOR A RIDING-SADDLE.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 35,329, dated November 26, 1901.
Application filed March 14, 1901. Serial No. 51,207. Term-of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK M. GILHAM, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of San Francisco, in the State of California, have invented and produceda new and original Design for a Riding-Saddle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, the same being a side elevation of a riding-saddle showing my new design.
As shown in the drawing,the leading or material features of my design consist of a riding-saddle of the Mexican type having on the edge or margin of the basto or skirt a the front jockey c, the rear jockey d, the middle jockey e, the sudadero 0r leg-fe'nde'rf, a tapadero or stirrup-cover g, and a scalloped edge and ornamental border. These scallops extend along the bottom edge of the basto and are returned at the ends and carried up 011 the front and rear edges, as seen at b in the drawing. The edges of the 'front jockey 0, rear jockey (Z,- and middle jockey e are ornamented with scallops in like manner, and the same are carried down and around the edges of the leg-fender and stirrnp-coverg,as shown. Having thus described my invention, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a riding-saddle as herein shown and described. In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand and seal.
