To all whom, it nut/y concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN D. MILLER, acitizen of the United States, residing at Washington, in the District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bottle or Jar Tops, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a top plan View of a bottle or jar top, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the same on the line a; as, Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the same on the line 3 y, Fig. 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of the upwardly-projecting edges 1 along the side of said top, said edges being struck up at an angle less than a right angle, and the central struck-up heart-shaped portion 2 in the centerof said top. The frontedge of the top is also provided with a struck-up edge 3, similar to but not as high as the side edges 2. The top also has a slight indentation back of the heart-shaped struck-up portion, and the rear end of the top is contracted or tapered to form a handle 4.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a bottle or jar top, as herein shown and described.
