DESIGN FOR A CHAIR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,949, dated August 13, 1901-.
Application filed July 12; 1901. Serial No. 68 117. Term ofpatent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MARY GUYOT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original are shorter than the rear legs, so that the seat inclines forwardly and downwardly. The back of the chair inclines forwardly relative to a perpendicular rising from the point of junction of the back and the seat.
At the front edge of the seat a roll 9 is formed, projecting in a curve upwardly from the edge of the seat, then forwardly and downwardly in semicylindrical form, extending longitudinally along the front edge of the seat with the convexity upward.
The essential features of the design are the downwardly and forwardly inclined seat, the forwardly-inclined back, and the sernicylin drical roll at the front edge of the seat.
