DESIGN FOR A CORSET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,292, dated July 25, 1899. Application filed June 22, 1899. Serial No. 721,489. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it new concern:
Beit known that I, MADELEINE M. MILLS, a citizen of the United States, and aresident of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, useful, and original Design for an Article of Manufactnrenamely, L orsets -of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
In the said drawing the figure shows the corset as seen from the front.
The leading feature of my design consists in a corset the upper edge of which has the shape or configuration substantially as shown.
A A represent the two sides of the corset, which meet along the median vertical line ;1 y. The waist is indicated by the horizonml lino m J1. The upper-edge contour of the front of the corset consists of two margins a 01., which diverge from a point on the median line near the waist-line and extend upwardly and outwardly to the points 0 0, respectively. The contour of the upper edge of the back of the corset consists of the sub stantially horizontal margin d at the middle and the upwardly-inclined margins e c.
What I claim is- The design for a corset substantially as herein shown and described.
