UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EBENEZER V. WHITE, OF GLADSTONE, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR A NEOKTlE-FASTENER.
To all whom if may carton/w.-
Be it known that I, EBENEZER V. WHITE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Gladstone, in the county of Delta and State ofMichigan, have invented and prod need a new and original Design forNecktie-Fasteners; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
In the aeoompanying drawings, Figure 1 shows a side elevation of my newly-designed neektie-fastener. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the fastener on an enlarged scale.
The essential features of the design are a downwardly-projecting pointed part, an upwardlyextending shank united therewith by an intermediate portion, and a ring at the top of the shank having its end slightly twisted out of the general plane of the ring.
The part (1, having the point I), is connected at its upper end by a curve c with the intermediate portion (Lwhieh runs down to a curve e, located just below the point I) and underneath it to a certain extent. From the curve 0 the shank f rises to a point at about the same height as the curve cand is there formed into a ring g. The parts (I, (Z, andflie substantially in the same plane, while the ring is in a plane transverse thereto. The end h of the ring is twisted out of the general plane of the ring toward the curve c. When in use, the necktie is caught on the pointed part a and the collar is received between the parts (I and f.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Tatent, is-
The design for a necktie-fastener, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
