To (all whmn it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL F. PAUL, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Fastener-Studs, of which the following is a specification.
Figure 1 is a side view of a stud, showing my design. Fig. 2 is an end View of the same. Fig. 3 is a plan view.
My design consists in a head in the form of a turtle-back, provided with a neck and base, with respect to which the head is cocentric in the direction of its greatest diameter, the head being of smaller diameter than the base.
The embodiment of the design shown in the accompanying drawings may be more specifieally described as follows:
a is the circular flange, from which rises the neck I), surmounted by the head 0. The base inclines upwardly to the neck. The head overhangs the neck on all sides and is eccentric with respect thereto. In horizontal outline the head 0 is oval. It is convex on its upper surface and relatively flat on its under surface and in general contour has the form of a turtle-back, slightly inclined relatively to the base.
(I is a series of points constituting a broken line within the smooth field of the upper surface of the flange (1, extending in a circle concentric With the outer edge of the flange.
